  It's a shame I hadn't been there before. Definitely worth visiting either there is a special event or not. Exposition modern and exciting.

  The Eduards Smilgis Theater Museum (Eduarda Smilga Teatra Muzejs) occupies the house of the distinguished director, the founder of the "Dailes (Art) Theater", Eduards Smilgis (1886-1966), in Pardaugava part of Riga.
  
  The building was especially designed for Smilgis in the 1920s and reflects his original, striking and contradictory personality. The museum was opened in 1976. The most interesting rooms are the small hall with a stage and Smilgis' study.
  
  The exhibition traces the development of professional theater in Latvia.
