Beautiful hotel with friendly staff, kindly gave us the last room available after we were left stranded at the airport. Incredibly comfortable beds, included mini bar and nicely decorated rooms. Only downside perhaps was the shower head which was difficult to position, but overall a great stay and nice hotel.

Very modern, spacious hotel. Friendly staff, nice big rooms. Not the most scenic part of Luxembourg but near to the business/conference buildings and a 20 minute walk into the town over the bridge.

Stayed here in December 2017 while visiting Luxembourg with my family. Hotel is new and modern. Breakfast was excellent. Location could work - there is a good public transportation connection to the city and to the nearby shopping mall. The problem was that there was a construction going on on the 1st floor. I specifically requested quiet room and we were given a room just above the construction despite hotel being rather empty. On our last day we woke up to the sound of hammers and drills. When I raised this issue during the checkout, I was told that hotel manager will follow up with me. Nobody contacted us afterwards. I would have expected more from Sofitel. Especially, I would like to know in advance that there is a construction in the hotel so I could make informed decision to stay elsewhere.

My bf took me here for my birthday for dinner. 🥂 The restaurants atmosphere was very calm and peaceful. Nice change once in a while. We both did the 6 course menu. Very delicious. Though I wasn’t a fan of the fish. We were both very full and feeling very fat after all that.

The hotel is very nice; great location; very clean and upscale. Reception and cleaning staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Food was excellent. Room was very hot, however, and A/C did not seem to work. Bed had a thick mattress cover that had uneven padding and made it feel like the bed was tilted. On weekends, parties in the main lobby can be quite loud and smoky, as all of the rooms overlook the lobby down below.

Very pleasant, helpful staff, confortable bed, nice shower, By far, the best part of our stay was our interaction with your front desk - Aurelie was her name. I have never seen someone take more pleasure in thier job as she did. What a breath of fresh air. We have been traveling throughout Europe for five weeks and she was far and above the most personable and friendly hotel staff that we encountered. We cannot say enough about how wonderful she was; she made us feel welcome and special. She is truly gifted; she has excellent people skills and takes pleasure in executing them. She was so enthusiastic that it was contagious. Please let her know that she was the reason for this excellent survey - we loved her!

This is one of the finest hotels I've stayed at in my business travels. The service is impeccable. The rooms are as quiet as any I've ever been in. The main restaurant serves incredible gourmet food and the breakfast was outstanding. The rooms have every item a guest would need and are well laid out and very comfortable.
Add a Marriott mattress and this hotel is heaven. If you like very, very soft mattresses, you'll love theirs. I have a bad back and need the support a firm mattress provides. Their bed has what feels like a very plush down top on it, but there were parts of the mattress that were very sunk in.response / report this review -

This was my first time staying at the Sofitel in Luxembourg and I couldn't have been more pleased. The room was clean and neat and very comfortable. I loved the complimentary beverages. Most importantly, the room was so quiet! The staff was always friendly and willing to help and answer questions, My only complaint is that it is difficult (for older people) to step over the high tub to enter the shower. A grab bar would have been helpful. Besides that, I have no complaints, only praise. I look forward to going back.

We were met with professionalism and great service from the second we were helped through the door with our child's buggy to the amazing service offered when we checked in.
Upon being shown to our room Laura gave us lots of helpful information in the city and transport tips.
The room we were in (#496) was very spacious, clean and well appointed. The living room and bedroom gave us ample space for our 19month old son to explore and run around in.
We would not hesitate to stay here again if visiting Luxembourg and with our experiences at Sofitel establishments always look to the brand first if they have a hotel in our location.
Another nice surprise was upon our return to the suite on our first night we were greets with a really nice gesture of some chocolates and a thank you letter for being an Accor member. It's nice touches like this that keeps people coming back.

One of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in. Check in very friendly and hassle free. Room was very luxurious and clean. A nice little touch was champagne and desserts in the room on arrival for my partners birthday. I would definitely recommend, thank you for a great stay!

The staff at reception was extremely helpful. When we arrived, the lady at reception gave us maps and all the information to get around the city along with things we shouldn't miss to see. It helped quite a lot to plan our weekend trip.
The breakfast has reasonable selection too.
Rooms were spacious and clean.
Location was very good - not very far from airport and city. Very easy to catch the public transport.
We also got free upgrade and free mini bar which was delightful.response / report this review -

The hotel staff is truly exceptionally nice.
The rooms are nice. However, the last three rooms I have stayed in all had a very strong smoke smell. Clearly they were smoking rooms before or smokers just ignore the non smoking policy. This is a real turnoff for this hotel which is otherwise excellent by any measure.response / report this review -

The hotel is nice, the stuff are friendly. Had a problem with check out. I booked the offer they have on their website, I paid extra 50 euros to upgrade to a luxury room with late check out. I only upgraded because I wanted the late check out option, but for my surprise, on the day of check out the reception told us that we were not booked for late check out, even after I showed them my booking confirmation that stated luxury room with late check out. At the end they did allowed us to stay until 4pm, but it would have been nice if they just honored what they are offering on their site in the first place. So before you book any offer that states late check out, make sure you check with them first, to see exactly what they mean by the offer.

Very nice hotel with mostly business visitors. The breakfast is great and you can get the meal on your room for free! The rooms are big and nice, have everything you need. Though, for me they are a little old-fashioned furnitured. The gym is only small and the weights were not very well maintained (some were broke for several weeks). No pool, prices in the hall or for room-service are insanely high and not an option. Staff is very very nice.

Your staff is wonderful. The first room I was given, although a good size, was shockingly out of date and not at all at the level I'm come to expect at a Sofitel (e.g, stained carpet, scuffed and scratched furniture and walls). The second room was more modern, but I was put off by the 90 degree empty space (back of shower wall and wall to main room) and especially the clear glass of the shower room and bathroom wall, which offers no privacy if anyone is staying with or visiting the guest. The food at the hotel, however, was excellent all around.

Have generally not used the Accor group hotels much over the years, this has changed recently with stays in Mercure, Novatel and now Sofitel.
Really nice touch in that even though I am a new customer to Sofitel that on arrival there was a personalised welcome letter in my room. Hats off to Accor for joined up guest loyalty recognition across brands.
Excellent dinner in one of their restaurants Le Stubli, very comfortable beds, the wonderful pillows and mattress cover make for a great sleep.
Courteous and friendly staff.

This was one of the most luxurious and friendly hotels. I got my room on hotwire but if I ever come back to Luxembourg, I would love to stay here. It is walking distance to parks and beautiful downtown. Luxembourg is one of the safest cities in Europe and was a highlight of our trip
