This one has to be the best
We chose this based on the reviews and they were spot on. We had Janeka as a driver he was wonderful. We saw 02 leopards. I loved the way Janaka talked about the animals - you could tell he was genuinely interested. He also stopped the jeep twice to pick up plastic water bottles. And once we had left the Safari park he stopped to let us see and cobra and a big yellow and black tortoise by the road. we were so happy with this company
My daughters and I have just been on a safari with yalaking. It was truly a great experience. We saw many wild animals including a family of elephants which were the highlight of the trip!
Booking was quick and easy. You pay when you’re there. Our drive/guide Ruisu was marvelous. Jostling to the top of the line and fast to get to the animals first.
The park is abut busy but on the whole we were very satisfied. The price was one of the lowest but still got good service. Don’t be tempted to book at your hotel as surely it will be double the price.
Half day tour to Bundala.
We really enjoyed our experience with Best Yala Safaris! We got a very good deal for our private half day tour, it was easy to book, the driver arrived on time. When we got to Bundala we were joined by a guide from the park. We got to see elefants, crocodiles, land monitors, turtles, pelicans, and many others really close. The driver, Rusiru, was very nice and polite, and drove carefully.
PS I read few other reviews and it looks like people mix up the company Best Yala Safaris and Safari in Yala national park. The company is great, the safari in Yala can be disappointing indeed because there are too many jeeps and sometimes they all drive together which makes no sense.
Parc is supper . Many elephant leopard
We booked with Janaka safari. Our driver was 26 years old, sadly i can’t remember his name. Picked us up punctually and we were one of the first on yala gate for entry due to skilful riding. I am super pleased with our guide. We saw leopard 4 times during our full day trip. Actually we managed to see all the wanted animals - except the bear during the first half already. The guide was always communicating with other drivers and massing all the jeeps together was hilarious. I had no problem tipping the driver as the service was top class. Even managed to see a tusker - Anuradha. There are only 4-5 tuskers in yala and we were eating breakfast while he appeared 10-15m away from us in the bushes. For the lunch we had delicious curry, which the drivers mother had made.
Felt it was not worth so much money, we spent nearly 200 usd including entry and jeep fees with tips - for 2 adults and a 9 year old kid. Saw deers, Peacocks, Buffalo, Elephants, mangoose , many birds. No luck with cheetah. Too many jeeps allowed inside, not managing the crowd efficiently. Many jeeps have just 1 or 2 members and many jeeps were making too much noise and smoke!! Will Nokia recommend in peak holiday period.
Animals
Awsome experience. Worth to visit atleast once.
Good work
Fine
We went on one of the tours & overall it was pretty good. Whilst we didn't get much information on what we were seeing, we got to see things like a leopard, elephants (they ended up coming right close to us).
However, it's no guarantee what you'll see, as it's very dependant on the animals.
If you're prone to car sickness, can't handle bumpy roads, don't like 4 wheel driving. Don't go.
