This place is a small family owed resort with 8 rooms. The place is really nice and close to the sea. Clean and basic rooms with attached bathrooms. Bathrooms are very simple and provide you only basic requirements. At the moment no A/C rooms and all rooms only having fans. Visited during April holidays and its quite hot during night but other seasons it said very cool during night with wind. These is a separate small pantry for each block with basic items including a small fridge. Nice dining area in middle of the property.

The Host is very friendly and helpful. Five stars to the food and food was prepared by owner’s wife which was really delicious. Enjoy lots of sea foods. Food prices are very reasonable with good quantity. Breakfast was included to the rate and it was delicious. For meals you can order to your requirements. There is a small lagoon next to the property which is good for a bath but its recommend to walk to sea which is next to lagoon where beach is really nice and good to have a sea bath than lagoon. Location is very popular with foreigners who travel for kitesurfing as the area provides very good lagoon for kite surfers.

Overall experience was really good and spend quality time with very good food. Kids enjoyed a lot with playing in garden and in the beach area.

Stayed here for a night with my friend and Sunil was an awesome host. Helped us grill fish and was very friendly. Definitely recommend for family and solo travelers. Lots of fun activities around this area nowadays. My last visit to Kalpitiya was in 2012 and a lot has changed. This place is clean. Would definitely come back to Werala Beach Resort.
