Good service
This location is in Maskeliya in Sri Lanka. In 1974, The old Maskeliya city is submerged due to the Maskeliya oya hydro power project and tributaries of Kelani River starts from Adam's Peak feeds to this lake named'Maussakelle By construction huge earth/ rock filled dam across the river , now this lake helps to get more and more energy to national Grid to smother srilankan life and beautiful sceneries around this lake with few waterfalls and tea fields surrounded by.
A tourist stay in my hotel gave this picture for me and with his approval I am sending his picture to your site
During dry season, The water level goes down and old ruins of Maskeliya Buddhist temple, Hindu temple, Church, Mosque can be seen with drought and many people worship all places.
No water pollution still there but peoples activities may pollute and all of us help to save water bodies as some day all we have to struggle to water for drink but not for the fuel .
Hope this picture may bring happiness and many location around the lake and I hope to add those in future.
Thank you.

too bad experience
hi, if you need 1 or 2 pax for car pleez contact me
very very bad experience with this tour. The driver Kushara a very rude man.
has no manners no attiquites. no considerations even if ladies and children in the van. never travel with this walkers tour. ill-mannered, rude, misleading,
drivers. A very bad experience made our journey miserable
Have just returned from a tour of Sri Lanka, organised by Riviera Travel. Our driver was excellent as was his helper. However, our Tour guide, Sumar was hopelessly inadequate. He sat the whole journey so when he spoke of temples or other interesting sights "over there" from the coach, no one could see where he was looking. He then helpfully told us it was "behind us". His grasp of English was very poor so it was very difficult to understand him when he did speak. All we learned was that there are dry, wet and arid areas and lots of rain trees in Sri Lanka. We came back from holiday having learnt nothing about the people and culture of this lovely island. Very disappointed.
Recent tour of Sri Lanka organized by Walkers would have been five star, only reduced by one poorly described experience. All accommodations and service were exceptional except Leopard Trails. This was described as luxury safari experience. The experience of the safaris themselves were exceptionally good because of the care and attention of the guides, Indii and Jerome. The accommodations left a little to be desired. The tents were showing a lot of wear and the electricity had a habit of failing at the most inconvenient times. Showering in an outside shower with cold water and no light is not exactly luxury.
Our driver/guide Lal, was superb. He was knowledgeable, always helpful and always concerned for our welfare and very reliable.
Cape Weligama was pure luxury and Kandy House, the same, likewise Kalundewa Retreat. We feel that our tour organization was precisely as we had requested and if the distances were not so great, we would be back.
