The word AWESOME is not enough to describe Olanka Travels. These guys are much more than that. Our experience with Olanka is THE BEST that we have ever come across. I found them on google and asked them to plan my Srilanka trip and right from day one, the service has been beyond excellence, particularly Vishwani. Her perseverance skills really astonishes me and her speed in getting back to my doubts was superb. I should definitely mention Chirath (fondly called as CK), our guide cum driver. He is the most soft spoken and disciplined human being i have ever come across. Amazing patience while dealing with a short-tempered person like me. Overall i will rate them 5/5 and they truly deserve it

Never have I experienced such an excellent and professional travel agency. Olanka Travels made my trip to Sri Lanka unforgettable. You can feel that they are passionate about what they do and have a lot of knowledge of the country. My driver went the ’extra-mile’ and the hotels provided were nice as well. I highly recommend this travel agency when you are planning a trip to one of the most beautiful countries in Asia!

We had a wonderful holiday in Sri Lanka. The itinerary was well planned. Thanks to Olanka Travels. I would recommend Olanka Travels to other travellers.
Ms Pabasara of Olanka Travels deserves special mention. She regularly checked on our well being during the course of our trip and was very helpful with the planning of the itinerary. Her travel tips also saved us time and costs.
Mr Rathnayaka, the driver made our journey enjoyable. An experienced driver with good knowledge of the routes and places of interest. He was efficient, prompt and reached the destinations on time.

I have returned from holidays in Sri Lanka yesterday. It was a great experience with Olanka travels. Right from the word go till leaving the country was an unmatched n unforgettable experience. The driver cum guide was a great help. Accommodation provided by Olanka travels in different areas was comfortable n more than expected. The country is green , clean ,peaceful n calm. People are helpful n educated. I was there in kandy when the untoward incident happened but all the foreigners were very well taken care off. N to me it was a very small invident. Fabulous arrangement was there at srilanka. I have nothing to worry about hotel, journey, water sports, activities, other itinerary.
Fabulous views were there. Guide was too good, had given us details of every single thing. On time pick up. Regular feedback was there. It feels like having relatives out there.

Must say.. Wonderful visit to Srilanka memorable one Enjoyed each and every moment in srilankai am thankful to Olanka travels for organizing this tour and making it memorable .. It was well planned..with selection of good places.. good decent hotels and with well experienced guide (Titus) .. Last but not the least..special thanks to shashini who was so patience and supportive while selecting tour package..also checking each moment if any assistance required during tour period.. All they're interested in is your money!
They have ruined our 30 years anniversary trip to Sri Lanka.
Take special care with Mahesi the travel agent!
"Budget" hotels, according to Olanka, are dirty hotels you can not step in.
DO NOT BELIEVE IN ANY PROMISE of this company. Keep yourself away from.
Although we've asked to replace our hotels (after the first night) they didn't agree, while from the beginning I've offered to pay the additional cost.
This is simply because they didn't want me to know they've booked a 20-30$ hotels for me, while we paid MORE than 1300$ for 8 days trip. Robbery on day light.response / report this review -

We just came back from our 9 days tour trip in Sri Lanka with our 3 kids of 5, 7 and 9 years old (end of oct 2017)
It was our first time in Sri Lanka and Olanka Travels was our travel organizer and we were happy of the service that has been provided, special thanks to our agent Pabasara. First they responded quickly to our enquiry. we asked for a tour with cultural and historical sites, with animal parks, nature wonders, and we were enchanted about the places they had chosen to take us on tour, we got all the « must see/do » expériences (it was quite intense but we asked for it :) ).
The van we got was spacious and very clean and we had an exceptionnal driver, Janith, very good english speaker, who loves his work, is kid friendly, very helpful (will help you get good deals, as some entrance tickets can be expensive on sites)
Olanka gave us a warm welcome in their country, made sure everything went ok by calling from time to time, had nice attentions towards us, I only recommended a few improvement with their partners that they took into account for following tours, to make them more perfect.

We have just returned from an amazing 10 days 9 nights trip to SriLanka .Our trip was extremely well planned by Olanka Travels and all went well without any problems. Our contact in Olanka was Ms Ran who was extremely cordial and friendly. Her response time was very swift .The hotels booked were exactly as we expected and we really had a good time throughout. Our guide and driver Rochel and Saman were very friendly .
We were three couples and two kids.
We visited 6 places in 10 days- which made the trip a bit hectic. We started with Negombo to Habarana to Kandy to Nuwara Eliya to Yala and last to Beruwala.
In future rather than hopping so many places , would visit three cities and stay for at least three nights at each place.

We have just returned from our vacation to Sri Lanka. Truly awesome experience with Olanka. The Hotel and inland travel bookings were worked out meticulously by Anupama and Pabasara keeping our family requirements in mind.
They planned out our six day trip to Sigriya, Kandy, Nuwra Eliyya, Bentota and Colombo giving us a complete flavour of the beautiful country ranging from Forests , Heritage site , Hill Stations to Beaches ..
The planning was immaculate and every little concern /suggestion was looked into.
Our driver Tharusha was a great companion through out. The vehicle was Toyota Flat Van in excellent condition. Safe driving and my son bonded well with him. Choice of 3 * Hotels was good but our personal favourite was Club Waskudawa..
While returning back they handed over a photo collage of memories taken during our visit. We were surprised and touched. Also a small momento to our daughter.. Truly Priceless..

Very bad experience, I will not recommend it to anyone.They are outsourcing vehicles and providing transportation.If you get a good driver, you are lucky to see some places,They have promised English speaking guide but there is no guide and the driver only knows local language. They 'll not arrange any thing in advance .They have collected full payment in advance and not paid properly for hotel bookings ,because of that there were delays in hotel check in.They have promised for train journey bookings,finally they said there is no advance booking for train,only same day morning its available and if you are lucky you can have train journey.Other than Colombo the hotels they provided were not 4 star hotels but they are offering 4 star accommodation.Worst tour experience.

Both of us, my wife a Doctor and I, an Airline pilot are frequent travellers like to select and discover all the beautiful places in our planet.
We had a terrific holiday in Sri Lanka between 03-14 MAR 2017. The transportation, activities and hotel accommodations were nice.
Why Sri Lanka and why Olanka Travel?
1- Sri Lanka known as the pearl of the Indian Ocean.
2- We elected Sri Lanka because it is All-in-One: Culture, history, beaches, watersports, mountains, wildlife, trekking and Hospitality.
3- During our Google search we found that Olanka Travel is definitely the Top, Well established, Leading, Professional Expertise travel agency in Sri lanka, which can provide us with safety/security, ongoing mutual relationship, best value and time saving, and trip obstacles fixer also does have a negotiation power to get the best hotels deals during our trip.
It all started with a pleasant surprise in dealing with one person at Olanka Travel, which we profoundly believe that Olanka travel is fortunate to have amongst the rest of professional employees working at Olanka, namely Ms. Uvini Dayaratne.
How did we start planning?
1-Simply I emailed Olanka Travels Sales team.
2- Ms. Uvini Dayaratnea a tour consultant replied promptly by promising to get back to us ASAP with a nice itinerary!
3- She motivated our confidence to elect Olanka Travels after she replied on time with an itinerary taking to consideration of our interests and preferences. Also courteously provided her availability 24/7 via calling her directly or text her on Whatssup or Viber.
Useful trip info:
1. Our trip itinerary included; airport’s pickup and drop-off, private English speaking chauffeur guide with a private air-conditioned car included all taxes and fuel charges, Bed and breakfast to half board basis, culture, visits to many interesting places and museums, wild life, exploring Nature, trekking, and ends with a beach stay. Hotels ranged between 5-4 stars. We were looking for some reasonable luxury.
2. Colombo Airport can get busy at times; it took us 1hour to collect our luggage.
3. Primary money exchange can be done at the airport with a reasonable rates.
4. It is vital to take the driver suggestions.
5. We enjoyed the seafood and tropical fruits varieties.
6. The people were super nice.
7. Hot Air balloon was an incredible experience.
8. Safari experience was fantastic.
9. Accommodations were satisfactory.
10. It is highly recommended to read as much reviews as possible about your hotels before initiating any booking.
11. Bringing your anti-mosquito’s patches and spray is important.
12. Making sure to reserve your trip as early as possible, waiting till the end may limit the availability of hotels rooms.

We had one of the best experiences with Olanka, their team works at their best to meet the client needs. Each service is personalized and client satisfaction is their only motto, Uvini managed to get us the best deals in the most beautiful locations and was available round the clock. The guide was so helpful and available 24/7 throughout our 5 days trip. I wish them all the best :)

Last week(May 12th 2017) travel and visit to Srilanka though Olanka was an awesome trip to the entire group. Well organized, well defined, professional handling of the group right from garland welcome to see off back at airport.
Every inch and bit of the groups individual needs and personalized care was taken care of.
1) Pricing-Best and economical in the market standards in all categories.
2) Hotels- Best hotels(3 & 4 star rated) chosen for the entire group.
3) Local Transportation- Awesome arrangements including the best Bus.
4) Guide-A multi lingual expert guide was provided to the group
5) Food arrangements- A very well planned arrangements were done.
Overall an out and out 5 stars.
