This place is said to be the site where King Dutugemunu rallied his troops before the battle against Chola king Elara. There is also a stone which is said to have been used to sharpen swords before the battle

An ancient Buddhist temple. Shrine room is full of beautiful mural paintings and sculptures. Within the premises there is a stone which is said to be used by King Dutugemunu to sharpen his sword.
