I really like this place.. anybody can can enjoy their freedom in here but the issue is, some people start to staring and disturb couples who came to the park.. this is so bad.. for families and bunch of friends who wants to play, i recommend this place

A well laid out park with seating and good shade. Ideal for walks and exercise. Nice refreshing and cool place in the heart of the city. Usually crowded during weekends.

Very nice place for a walk and having a chat. Visited more than 3 times i guess. In the morning on sunny days its too hot, evening is the best time to go. You can ride bicycle on the bicycle path around the park. At night its filled with calm lights and looks wonderful.

Good place to stay and relax. Kids can enjoy in Playing area created for them. Jogging track is good. Open area theatre is good for events. Cafeteria is located in the middle of park. Easy access. Parking spaces can be vacant in holidays. Very relaxing environment in the middle of Colombo city

A cool calm place to visit alone, with family and as couples as well. Short food items, ice creams are available. Bicycles are avaialable. But not that much condition. Pony rides are available for the small children as well. You can do whatever in the park without disturbing the others.

Ample are for families and kids with various activities. Nice and clean, well maintained. You can find parking here right around the park. Weekends can get crowded especially during the evenings, but still it's a fun place to be.

Heart of Colombo no place else like this park to relax on a weekend. Kids love the open areas where they can play anything as much they want. Many food outlets around the park where you can enjoy various types of food.

Mostly not crowded.
Large area.
Pleasant atmosphere and ambiance, great for relaxation, family picnics, outdoor get-togethers.
Not much play areas and entertainment for kids.
Perfect for readers and jogging.

Bicycle Rent needs development and well maintained bicycles.
The pond needs some cleaning.
Requires more monkey/pull bars and calisthenics workout zones.

The Viharamahadevi Park is the largest public park located in Colombo. A cool, Calming and well maintained place with the lake, the suspension bridge and the World War memorial. The park covers a lot of old trees with beautiful pathways.

A cool place in the heart of Colombo city. However suggests that some more fun activities and tools to implement for kids. This is a good place for brisk walking, jogging and aerobic exercises. Parents to be more careful when accompanying kids to some areas of the park. There is a good restaurant there you can enjoy fresh fruit juice, cupcakes and sandwiches for a reasonable price. However, suggests improvement in restaurant service.

This is the largest public park in Colombo and is maintained by the Colombo Municipal Council. The park include a huge Buddha statue, outdoor stadium, a series of water fountains, an aquarium, a children's play area and etc…
This place is very peaceful. You forget that you are still in Colombo. Walking under the trees on the green is the best feeling.

Decent place to hang out with your friends if you are into walking and nature. Looks pretty good after renovation. At night it has a very chilled atmosphere with dim lights all over the place. Its under the police and army personnel so quite safe even in the night.

A nice place to have a good outdoor family time. Even an old fashion outdoor food session. Or play some games but sadly they don't allow pets. So that's disappointing. Buts it's really nice. A lot of couples but it's peaceful in a way

One of great place in colombo city center. U can enjoy locally made food and very good place for family outing, the green grass and biggest trees giving the natural air for breath. Children's can play.
