It is nice place for leisure time with family. Also this is a good location for photoshoots. There I have been three times. I felt the gardening is not good. But the cleanness is 100%. There is a place to buy new plants for a fair price. There is a cafeteria too. The disabled or weak people can have a service of battery car for a fair price. This is a calm and quite place to visit.

First experience in here and it was little bit crowded with school children. Well maintained garden.

This is maintaining by Government and if you are visiting here I forcefully recommend you to go there in the morning or evening. Because of you will loss the nature experience with the hot environment in the noon time 🥵

Enjoy with your friends, family, children or with your partner. ❤️

Very nice & well maintained place to visit with your family.
Ample space for vehicle parking but no shade at all. Cafeteria is there but limited options.
Widely used for photo shoots by young crowd.
Park is different to what you see at Peradeniya or at Hakgalla.
The rationale behind launch of this park is to establish a center to conserve the highly threatened wet lowland forest flora for future generations. Can see and study many lesser know trees and pants belong to the wet zone . There are few areas allocated for flowers. Garden still growing. Some are recently planted trees and they need some time to grow and show their real beauty.

A nice place to go and enjoy nature with your family and friends. Those who are interested in learning wet zone botanical life, this is an ideal place to be. Many varieties of wet zone flora can be found here including herbal plants. Many scenic locations including an observation point with a panoramic view are there in the park. Boat rides are available in the beautiful man made lakes. A cafeteria is there for refreshments.

Very good indeed. Nice place for a family visit. There are golf cars available. You can just take a ride, but not allowed to drive. Its a huge garden with old and rare trees. Kids who are schooling is a must to go. Google maps shows the correct and exact place. The road is bad. You can buy flower and other plants which is available on the top of the garden. That was the first time I have seen a vast variety of roses. 5 stars

The name or wet zone but you cannot feel it. If you need to go there better time is evening time when the sun start to go down. Other wise you have suffer from sun shines. You can see variety of trees. The car park is very big nothing to worry about parking your vehicle. It's just a place to go and walk around that's all nothing special.

A must visit place. Large area to walk around. The park is fairly new and still being expanded. The sky walk and the observation deck is neat. Found some odd men walking around looking weirdly at you. Try the waterfalls near by. Cleanly washrooms. Would recommend.

A peaceful place to spend leisure time. Can feel the spirit of the nature if you visit on a less crowded day. Usually weekends and holidays are considered to be very crowded. A good place to enjoy the serenity.

Recently opened for public and its a great outing venue for everyone to spend the day with nice seens. Ample parking space. Friendly staff. Well known photo shooting location. There is a lot of walking, nearly 3.5km. Not much benches. Visitors can hire 8 seat electric golf carts as well. All the lush greenery makes it very beautiful, serene and peaceful. Not much of floral attraction. The park is very well maintained and clean. There are several lakes. There can be lengthy queues for Swan boat riding, during weekends.
For boat riding you have to buy tickets from entrance ticket counter. There is a cafeteria with good food and beverages. This is definitely worth a visit.

Place is Beautiful. But the security persons are treat separately to different visitor groups. There were no notice that ID's are mandatory and they did not checked some people's IDs who appears rich. Our gang contain 7 people and all are married. We were extremely embarrassed because I was forget to bring my ID.

One of the best botanical gardens in the country. So far this is the newest in its kind. The Lake located at the centre of the park gives an amazing experience which cannot be explained in words. Anybody goes there for sure will love the landscape and the way every attraction is layed out. Well maintained park with lots of places to stay and relax.

    Definitely recommended!

Visited on a weekend with couple of families. Not like other botanical gardens in Sri Lanka, there are no full of flowers and still you can enjoy the nature. Lots of rare plants and trees all the way up to the top. Around the botanical garden walking is bit tired, but make to feel the nature. Or you can lay down somewhere and relax. You have enough parking at the entrance. Only at the entrance you can find a shelter, along with a small cafeteria. You have limited options of food and beverages. You can go for boat rides the artificial lake, for photography.

Traveling from Colombo would take approximately one and half hours to two hours, and may differ depending on the level of traffic and the day you travel. Drive to the location would be a partly a comfortable drive, where the roads and perfect with carpeted roads, the last bit of the road leading to the park is a bit of bumpy ride. However, does compensate with the view of the surrounding.

The best would be the walk that you could do up a hill, getting the chance to see many varieties of trees, and many species of birds. If interested in seeing birds, then i would advice anyone to visit the place at a time where there a less people in the park like a weekday, and early as possible.

This is a ideal place for the photo shoot. Many couples came here for pre-shoot.

The park provides the transport for reasonable fee. But I feel walking is the best option then you will not miss the nice seen.

Having the chance of walking through giant trees and walking up the hill to reach the watch tower was an great experience. Once you stand in the watch tower you are greeted with a great view across the landscape.

The lower part of the garden is maintained like any other botanical garden with properly planted flower patches, and well maintained patch of grass surrounding a small lake. Where you can find many pose for photographs, including some who have come for the pre-wedding photo shoots.

As this was my first time visiting the garden, I was not aware of what to expect. Once visiting what i enjoyed the most was the tall trees, the shade and the animals that could be seen. If you do enjoy nature, then I would recommend visiting early in the morning. At least the place do open by 07:30 am.
