  Victoria Randenigala Rantambe Sanctuary is situated between the knuckles mountain range and the central mountains of Kandy. The size of this Sanctuary is 42,087 hectares .This Sanctuary was artificially created by people to protect Victoria reservoir, Randenigala reservoir and Rantambe Sanctuary which are three main hydro-electric reservoir of Sri lanka you can access this sanctuary via world famous hairpin bends or Raja mawatha . You can see herd of elephants in Victoria Randenigala Rantambe Sanctuary

  You need to go towards Kandy to be there
  This is beautiful location.
  Victoria is a man made Lake in order to store water for the electricity and agriculture.
  This place is surrounded by mountains .Sun rise is the ideal time to be there.
  Most of the parts near Tank is heavily guarded by Military or local security.You will need permission to enter and you make seek that when you plan the trip
  Surrounded jungle is a sanctuary and wild elephants and other wild life is thriving well.
