Super friendly owners and staff that'll accommodate you with anything you need. Very nice rooms and the view of the place is also amazing. The staff showed us local board games (Carrom) and even played card games from our culture with us. The food was also delicious!
We also had a camp fire with marshmallows, we went on a hiking trip with the staff and they gave us a great tour of the area.

We originally booking 5 nights - but ended up staying 12 nights as we fell in love with the place. Room was good and clean, food was very good and varied - every night we got new and interesting Sri Lankan dishes. 100 meters up from the hotel is a hill where one can watch the most amazing sunsets (which we did every night).
There are a lot of trekking options; we used three of the tours organized by the hotel and we liked them all. The waterfall trip provided nice swimming at a beautiful waterfall and an interesting tour at a tea factory. We also took the trip to the High Knuckles and it was amazing. It is required to have a guide when walking in the Knuckles Mountains, which is a UNESCO designated World Heritage Site. In addition we did many shorter walks from the hotel, exploring the area on our own, which was great and provided new fantastic views.
The staff and owners are super friendly and very accomodating. A recent bad review should be disregarded; it was written in spite - we were guests at the same time and know the true story behind it. This place truly is wonderful and the owners Michael and his wife Tushari are very good people with high integrity and respect for guests, staff, and local community.

Stayed here in December of 2015. Missed out on the tuk tuk waterfall tour; did manage to a hike in though. This place is where go to get away from it all. Service was great; rooms were cozy, comfortable, and very clean - mine had an awesome view of the knuckles range.
Can't wait to visit again.

Wonderful place a little outside from Kandy. Very quiet, best view I've had in Sri Lanka, great hiking trails, delicious food and very warm and helpful owner Michael and his wife Tush. I planned to stay 3 days ending up staying more than a week! If you like trekking and quiet places this is THE PLACE TO BE

Great Place with an amazing hosts, delicious Sri Lankan food, beautiful views and nice rooms.
Also make sure to ask for the trekking tours they offer - the one we did was not only a trekking tour but we also learned a lot about the local plants and animals!

We were very disappointed to be treated with such hostility and disrespect by the owner Michael. While the well-mannered Sri Lankan staff and I were discussing changing our room due to it not having the facilities advertised, the owner entered and belligerently ordered me to speak to him. "You must be Israeli" he spat at me and went on to accuse me of "quibbling over a few dollars". He continued to aggresively speak over me, not allowing me to clarify the conversation that he had walked in on, and making assumptions about me based on my appearance.
I am not Israeli nor was there any quibbling, but his attitude, raised voice and tone on this first and last encounter were absolutely deplorable and shameful.
Whether it was overt racism or sexism or both, his tone immediately softened once my boyfriend entered the room.Needless to say we left immediately. Disgusting person.

It was very nice. There was very good staff. The rooms were good and the bathrooms were clean. The food was tasty and the view of property was unspeakable. We really enjoyed our stay here.
