It is a nice place. With good views and an affluent look. The cuisine is good and has luxurious feel. The terrace is generous. Swimingpool, sauna, billiard and darts. Away from Kandy, around 20 min from it.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights and absolutely loved it! Best views in all of Kandy and had some of the best food here. The room we stayed in was spacious, clean and boasted amazing views. We had such an amazing stay here and would recommend it to everyone. We will definitely be back!

Kandy is a busy city with a lot of noise, traffic, and near the roads, pollution from the latter. It is very nice to stay away from the city where it is quieter - and being on a large hill, there is a very good view. Other positives include very helpful management/staff, an overall very good restaurant, and a small pool. Staff can call a tuk-tuk to take you into the city for 400 rupees or arrange onward travel to your next destination by a car if needed - and if it is the high season, it is probably going to be needed as trains book up for all of January. Many rooms have nice balconies with comfortable deck furniture and good views. We were glad to have stayed at the Theva Residency during our time in Kandy.

A boutique hotel - just 15 rooms - overlooking Kandy. Rooms had an amazing view. We had dinner in the restaurant twice and it was ok, not fantastic. We also had breakfast twice. Have to order Sri Lankan breakfast the evening before. We did this and really enjoyed the breakfasts. Staff were friendly and helpful.

A haven in the hills. Fantastic service from the check in staff, the service stab to the ownersuch a welcoming and humble boutique accommodation option in Kandy. Infinity pool, sauna and steam room are a treat. Complimentary tea, coffee, water and fruit is a beautiful touch. Rooms have a beautiful view over the hills, rooms bright and breezy

Went here for dinner, and we were taken on a fantastic ride for our senses! Attentive and dedicated service, absolutely stunning views over the valley, and food to dream about for days to come. Brilliant experience.

This boutique hotel is excellent. This is going on day 2 and the staff, the drivers hired, the rooms, and even the food is spectacular. As an American with low tolerance to chiles, the spices in this hotel still shine through. The breads are buttery, the is seafood is fresh and the chef even offers other western delicacies. All the dishes are well prepared and if you would prefer the Sri Lanka curries, be sure to tell the staff 45 min in advance. The chef will cater to your desire.

Over-priced, low in value: The staff was friendly and the service was good. But the room and bathroom was not clean. No shower door, so the bathroom flooded. Lots of mildew. Too many gadgets near the TV, not sure what to turn off. Wireless internet was slow and off at times. Breakfast was great. Good view of Kandy mountains in the mornings. We wanted to try this based on reviews but sorry, will not return.

Happy new year to you and "The Theva Residency" team. Just want to let you guys know that you guys created a fantastic event for us and I am over the moon. Cake was simply awesome and even better than the provided picture.

Also the food was awesome and unique experience for us all.
