  Service was great! We ordered two iced lattes and promptly received them. Nice aesthetic to the restaurant and overall menu seemed great!

  Beautiful setting for a restaurant. Wait staff were courteous. Ordered ice cream which came half-melted, the waiters took it back without any fuss. Prices are a bit higher than normal, but that's probably to be expected for a place catering for tourists.

  Food and drinks were actually ok and even if the price is above average Sri Lanka price, the ambience is nice and enjoyable.
  
  We had a great impression until we paid. The waiter brought back the map with a bigger amount of change but put one of the 1000 bill UNDER the receipt, folded smaller that I might not be able to see it if I would not lool under the receipt and only take the rest of the change which was above the receipt.
  The way it was arrange I cannot think about an accidental behaviour and this makes me sad as the place is nice and doesn't deserve such behaviour.

  Nice place, no alcohol thou, food is Nice, a little overpriced. Having said that we didn't like the look of one plate ( nothing doggy, just WE messed up ordering) and they retired w/out charging us for it.

  A good place for eating and chatting with fantastic service and ambience. Seafood spaghetti was good, as well as my favorite mango iced tea. Highly recommend pizza with so much cheese. PS: Try some cheese powder on ur spaghetti (and chili powder on ur pizza!)

  Location and decoration was very nice, and the service was good but the food was definitely not. We had breakfast (avo on toast and breakfast muesli) and both dishes were below average. Drink or coffee is good, but wouldn't recommend a bite.

  Stylish and hip restaurant with real good food and relaxed vibe. It comes with a price tag though. But definitely worth it. The pizzas are freshly made and baked in a stone oven.

  A good pizza is hard to find in Sri Lanka. Here they have one. Also very nice that they really support to use less plastic. Even had iron straws 👍🏻

  Nice place to go for a drink, we had some fresh juice which tasted great. Comfortable place to relax from the heat with wifi. Was a little more expensive than most places for drinks.

  Had a fantastic pizza here, also a nice veg chow mein another day. A little haphazard on the service side but extremely friendly and helpful. I have no idea why there are one star reviews. Taken in context a great find, good value and some of the better food we found in what is a bit of a tourist trap. Would recommend !

  Supposedly opens at 8 AM for breakfast.
  At 8:15 it was still closed.
  We went again around 8:35 and the doors were open, menu was outside for viewing.
  Walked inside and an employee says the chef isn't here and he doesn't know what time the chef will come...very disappointing to a hungry person looking for breakfast.
  No point opening restaurant doors and putting a menu out at 8:30 AM with no chef available. Misleading.

  Have you ever tried chewing gum meats? Then this is just the place to go to! Chewing gum beef and chewing gum squid is just what you will be served. The ambience is lovely . I'm reasonably sure the safer options will be better, like a bland and creamy pasta, or a simple sandwich, not too much can go wrong there... Salad for them is like conquering the finest french cuisine. Remember NOT to be too adventurous and 'try something new', safe choices make for a happy meal at the Heritage Cafe. If it's not a Friday before 1PM however, I strongly suggest you walk 50m down the road to Pedlar Inn Cafe.

  We had a dinner/snack here. Curry was okay, I ordered noodles, which was so-so. Banana fritters were pretty good.

  Nice lunch break with soup (seafood soup was spicy but delicious, tomato soup was ok - nothing special), stuff very polite and interacts fast
