although we visited at the end of peak season and the restaurant was empty, dont be put off- the food was truly excellent. great seafood mixed in with regional herbs and spices

Beautiful food, lovely setting and warm genuine hospitality. A must visit while in Tangalle! The fresh prawns with garlic and ginger sauce were particularly good and the added touch of giving us playing cards while we waited for our food was much appreciated.

Very busy with lots of reservations which was a good sign of things to come! The owner was really nice and stopped to chat with us about places to visit. Food was excellent, we had the four veg curry. They close on Poya (full moon)

Do yourself a favor and eat here! You can not miss it, it is under a mango tree. If you do not believe me, sit on the patio and look up.

Fish of the day is delicious! The best I had in 15 day trip through Sri Lanka. This was the only restaurant we ate twice at while on our trip.

Dish comes with a tasty sauce, which reminds me of seven spices sauce from Thailand. It comes with salad and fries. I am from the capital of french fries and they are way better in Sri Lanka than back home.

Restaurant is run by a local family, which lives at the back end of the building. Their son is a waiter and is always running around making sure you have everything you need. He will make sure to bring you playing cards to kill time while your food is being cooked.

Finally dad is around to make sure that guests are happy. I believe he organizes tours as well, so he might not be there during the day. But at night he will be there making sure your stay is wonderful and food came out as excepted.

I wished they had a cooking class so I could learn and take their delicious recipe home with me.

Good but touristy place at the moment. Prices are still quite low and the food was very tasty. It's quite hot though so perhaps reservations for the table with the fan at the back is smart

Incredibly delicious food not too far from the main tourist area of Tangalle. We've been there twice already and we're going to go again for a third time later because that's how much we've enjoyed it.

This restaurant seems to be owned and operated by the family and there's an incredibly gentle man who is FOH.

There's something about trust. As soon as you feel relaxed you have no issue going back there again. This is one of those places!

We were very happy with our meal! The food was delicious and we paid so cheap for it! Could not believe how much food we had for the price we paid. The owner is such a kind person and will make sure you are satisfied! Definately a good spot to go eat in Tangalle.

The best food in all Sri Lanka.
After 2 week around Sri Lanka this place was by far the best food we had.

We were 4 and paid only 6000 LKR eating fish and sea food. It is not in the coast but it is better because it is quiet and has no mosquitos. The food was very tasty and the owner is really nice, very kind and welcoming. The place is very authentic.
If I ever come back to Tangalle I will eat here again for sure!

The place is cozy and just few minutes walking from beach. Really nice fresh food and great service from the owners (local family business)we been there a couple of times, we tried diferent dishes, everything was very tasty making a very pleasant meal. Prices are fair. 100% recommended, is a must!!
