My girlfriend and I booked 2 nights here but had to add one more night as it’s so magic that we didn’t want to leave, and we know we will be back when we return to Sri Lanka! Stunningly beautiful and remote setting surrounded by lush green hills and rice paddies with a river running through the property. You can only drive as far as the car park and they pick you up for the last few hundred metres in their jeep.
Two free guided walks included in the price which we did with lovely Sandun, one to the local village and temple and one to a nearby waterfall, both really good.
Breakfasts are good and huge and the leftovers kept us going so half board (breakfast and dinner) was more than enough food for us. Great dinners, especially the (huge) signature curries.
Awesome massage from resident therapist Pradeep - I have travelled a lot through Asia and his deep tissue was one of the best I’ve had - he can feel what you need and applies lots of pressure in all the right places taking you to your pain threshold which is just the way I like it! Softer relaxing massages and other treatments are available too.
And wonderful staff! Every single person was always smiling, friendly and eager to help and just a pleasure to be around.

This place is magical! I can`t believe that I even go to visit a place so beautiful. If you get the chance to stay here, take it! Its so worth it!

Aside from the beautiful countryside, the food and the service of the hotel is amazing! We were able to visit a local Buddhist temple and a school nearby. I had an amazing time.

Don't be put off by the difficult approach to this hotel, particularly the last part as a special four wheel drive vehicle is needed for the last few hundred meters into reception.
As seems to be the norm in Sri Lanka the staff are so friendly and helpful. The hotel is advertised as a Eco resort with a large amount of timber and functional material to the overall building. It takes some getting used to but everything required is there even a rough path to some of the better rooms but inside they are fully equipped with a free mini bar and ours had a magnificent spa bath but not used as we didn't have much time for relaxing. The setting is in the mountainside with views and also the rice fields around the approaches to the hotel.
Food was very acceptable as was the very full breakfast. Definitely a recommendation in that area but there needs to be some clearer signage on the approaches.response / report this review -

An excellent hotel. Very good service and delicious food provided to us by the staff. The prices are very reasonable. Very calm, quiet and peaceful place. Eco friendly rooms with the modern facilities. Hope to plan our next holiday stay with you. Good Luck.

The Glenrock is a refreshing change from the typical hotels and resorts. It truly is a unique experience. The remote location of the hotel is ideal for a peaceful holiday. Surrounded by the mountains and the hum of the flowing river, my family and I felt really refreshed. We had a great time. The hotel staff is really friendly and helpful. The Glenrock is amazing and a must-visit. Thanks a bunch!

This was the best of the places I have stayed. The staff provided excellent service at all times. The food was great with fresh vegetables and a wide variety to select from. Built in a beautiful location in Sri Lanka and truly where nature has met luxury. If you are looking for a real Sri Lankan feel then Glenrock is the place to be. Will surely visit again. Keep up the great work team !!

A peaceful, luxurious retreat in the Hill country.
We stayed for four nights in August with our family including two small children. The hotel is designed sympathetically with the surrounding village and countryside. It is a haven for wildlife- we saw several monkeys, a giant squirrel, mongoose, toads and many birds. The river is great fun to swim in and have your feet nibbled by grey mullet. We took a trip to see Sri Lanka's tallest waterfall and to a nearby nature reserve in the hills resplendent with pine and eucalyptus trees.
The food is superb. The breakfasts are hearty and delicious. Both the Sri Lankan and western food options are delicious. The staff are welcoming and helpful.

We stayed there last March! I have travelled all over Sri Lanka but this is the most wonderful hotel for and calm.
The hotel is surrounded by the mountainous sky line with beautiful greenery. From eagles to monkeys can be seen. Natural swimming pools with spring waters.
More than anything Year around most comfortable temperature. Access to Sri Pada etc. Very friendly staff and superb foods.

The resort is located in a very nice scenic place just beside a rocky river. It's actually far from town area. The cabana where we stayed is just beside the river and the sound of the ever flowing water was really awesome. But overall hotel amenities were poor considering the price. No internet, restaurant has limited food to offer and quality is not so good. The walkways are paved with small rocks which is not safe for kids. The path to reach the river is also a bit risky. The limited staffs were very helpful and always tried best to cover up all limitations.

Pls hold on to your personal belongings tightly.Someone stole my Oakley sunglasses from their lounge area in a blink of an eye. Later I requested CCTV camera check, no response. Never going back.

The best place during our stay in Sri Lanka.
The hotel is actualy composed of 3 room only well equipped with a big Jacuzzi and a balcony.
This hotel is very pleasant in the middle of Riz plantation. During our stay the staff was sympathetic and very generous (more staff thank customers)
