If I could give this place a minus one. I would. It's terrible.
The staff are unwittingly racists. We're Indian, but they were more interested in serving their other patrons.
The food we ordered wasn't on the menu. And the food that we ordered was bland and tasteless. Spent 1900 LKR here. And it was worthless. They got our orders wrong.
The staff mostly were interested in shutting down and going home. Their manager tried to make up for it by offering us some complimentary ice cream which was also seriously average.
The only good thing? Their tea.
ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE SERVICE AND VERY MEDIOCRE FOOD.
Excellent food, very clean, prompt and friendly service. Would recommend. We ate here twice while in Kandy for 3 days. Swordfish was well cooked and the smaller Local Lankan fish curry was delicious. Five stars
The staff are extremely friendly and the place has a classy but relaxed atmosphere that we found appealing after an aggravating experience at the temple opposite. This was the perfect tonic. The passion fruit curd tart was amazingly delicious, as was the passion, mango & lime milkshake. The passion & kithul juice was a little tart but that is to my liking, so no problem for me. The tart really was a highlight though, as someone who loves passion fruit but can't get it for a reasonable price at home in the UK.
Cute spot in downtown historic Kandy. Good western-influenced food, clean preparation. Helpful waiters who cater to your every whim.
Lovely cool place with a great heritage and a great welcome. Right in the centre near lake and temple. Helpful waiters. Tasty food and a very fair price. Menu a little limited but what there was was very good. They were helpful with babies too. Can't fault it.
Good food, clean and cute spot. We had the Empire salad and the chicken curry which were both fine. Great location to the temple and nice people watching. Would go back.
Refreshing place. Beautiful architecture. It’s in a heritage building with great ambiance. We ordered a range of juices and smoothies. It was very refreshing and deliciously made. We enjoyed a small break after the shopping spree in Kandy.
Lovely people and fresh food! After a couple of weeks of only curry this was a warm welcome! Right next door to the tooth relic so a good place to stop in and have a break or more! Awesome milkshakes and juices!
Very friendly service. Mixture of western and local food. A little more expensive than other places, but we are not talking by much. The mixed curry (one meat and two veg) with rice, salad and a poppadom was about £3 (GBP) and was very good.
When we went there were only tourists, but don't let that put you off. It's a lovely place and well worth a visit.
I went with my daughters a few weeks ago in this restaurant , we kept a lovely memory of the place bright and clean, the food local or classic (there is a choice) and the staff really attentive and friendly. A real pleasure. Thank you to all and a special thanks to Seetha.. if I remember his name right!
Very nice food and a trendy and chilled out location - nice for an afternoon snack or coffee mid-exploring. We stopped twice due to the convenient location, not far from the Temple of the Tooth - the avocado on toast was very nice, as was the curry; ice creams went down a treat, too! It was a nice mix of trendy modern eatery and old-school colonial architecture - not necessarily 'traditional' Sri Lanka, but we didn't leave disappointed by our meals.
Lovely place to have lunch or dinner after you've visited the temple of the tooth. It's right in front of the main entrance. The staff is very friendly and the food was amazing! We went there twice :-)
Waiters were very attentive especially Seneka. Wait for the orders were a bit long but the food was tasty!
Very good food but on the expensive side of things, in terms of Sri Lanka. Over two visits had the Asian nicoise salad and the swordfish, along with a juice and a smoothie. All excellent, in a great location, lovely building and very good service.
Great location, next to the temple of the tooth.
Friendly service, and fast delivery of the food.
A bit more pricey than other things around, but well worth the money.
Lovely little cafe. Me and my partner had the chicken carbonara and it was beautiful! Also the iced coffee and especially the strawberry and cinnamon milkshake were lovely.
Waiter and chef both enthusiastic about feedback and very polite and welcoming with chit chat about us and where we are from etc.
Definitely recommend this place.
Great location. Loved the smoothies. Swordfish was great. It can get pretty hot during lunch time. I do wish they had a better wifi.
Friendly staff. Prices not as cheap as local restaurants so expect it higher. Had the curry chicken wrap which is good. A bit too much salt on the fries though.
I went there twice. Another time I had their curry chicken set. Both occasions, with a pot of tea is 1000 rupees.
The price for the food is relatively high compared to other places, but it tastes good. Also the portions are smaller as what you might be used to in Sri Lanka. Though, if you would like to have something different than curry, it is a good place to go. In addition, they serve some tasteful home-made ice creams.
We chose this place over a bunch in the same Street as it had plenty of space and more menu options. We had the chicken burger and fish and chips, not bad for a snack but not a main meal so price and meal portion were out of proportion hence given it a 3 star.try the other places too for bigger portions.
Set in an old colonial style building which is interesting. Mostly western style food. I had heir signature salad which wasn't much to brag about. I have heard their curry is better. Probably a good pit stop if you want a change of scenery but I would go out of my way
