Good resort with nice service, great food and cute houses with outdoor bathrooms. One problem is that you are not allowed to have a drink in the restaurant (open first floor with nice view) without having dinner there.

I was at the Sun aqua only for 5 days. Hotel has around 36 villa's, each villa separated by good distance and trees. I love hotel, because it has privacy that i haven't seen from most of the hotels. Villa is specious and well maintained. This hotel has the most biggest wine store in the Sri Lanka, so if you like to have a fine wine , this is the place.
I love the restaurant food and view, grand pavilion is the master restaurant and you can enjoy the sea view while you having the food. Staff was really friendly.

Superb stay! Spacious, comfy rooms nicely decorated with all necessary furniture. Wide variety of food that suits your taste buds.

We stayed in Sun Aqua for our anniversary for three nights and it was amazing experience. Resort is beautiful, with big outdoor pool and cozy private beach. There is small reef next to it so you can do some snorkeling but it might also be a little disadvantage because waves crash the reef and small pieces can be found in the sand.
Rooms are outstanding. Huge bedroom, enormous bathroom with private pool inside and a terrace with great view! I couldn't expect more 😁
But the best thing about Sun Aqua is people working there. Staff is smiling a lot and super friendly. Hotel manager mr. Rathnayake made our experience event more wonderful by helping us with any matter during our stay. He found bus for our next destination and booked seats for us. He even arranged unforgettable beach dinner with bonfire under the stars prepared especially for us. Mr. Rathnayake if you are reading this - thank you again!
Food served in the restaurant is delicious. You can eat European and Sri Lankan dishes. Food is spicy but that's how it should be 😉
The only thing we regretted is that we couldn't stay longer. This place felt like heaven and we will definitely come back here one day!response / report this review -

Love the Architecture of the Hotel and the whole Location. I had a Great Time staying at sun Aqua. The only Thing that i didn't like is the fact that the Water at the beach isn't Deep enough to swim.

Very nice hotel. Rooms are spacious and very comfortable. Some rooms are damp so make sure you check. The pool is great but warms up during the day providing little refreshment. From what I saw they have the best beach in Pasikudah very nice lounge area underneath the palm trees. The sea is calm because of a dam build 100 meter out of shore. It offers some ok snorkeling (most coral is dead but some nice parts were with colorful fish). The food served is pretty good but more expensive than in other places. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They serve drinks and food on the beach all day and organize all kind of nice events (beach BBQ, kids movies on large screen in the evening). We very much liked our relaxing stay and think this is clearly one of the nicer places in Pasikudah. Clearly not 5 star as they claim but a good 4 star hotel for sure.

Awesome hotel for a relaxed getaway. The hotel staff was amazing and friendly, looked after us with care during our stay. We had so much fun in the private pool. The spa treatments were amazing, she knew to touch the exact pressure points, LOVED IT!! Definitely should try the spa packages if you visit this hotel.
The food was super delicious as well.
Overall, definitely should stay a night or 2 here at hotel sun aqua. LOVED MY STAY HERE.
