Poorly maintained property charging high-end prices. We paid USD $250 per night lodging and $100 per meal ( 2 adults, 2 kids under 7) this hotel does not provide value for money.
1. You can hear the ocean but can't see it because they allow the weeds and bushes to grow tall in front.
2. The beach is steep and short and waves too large to swim in. Pics on the site show chairs on the beach but this would be impossible in front of the hotel.
3. Pool was green with algae. We asked them about cleaning it and they said they had someone confirm the chemical levels were correct so it was safe to swim in. needed a good brushing and a filter change.
4. There was a fence around the property but this has been destroyed by fallen trees some years ago. Fallen trees remain and fence not repaired. Overall shabby landscaping.
5. No alcohol served on site.
6. Room was plain, concrete floors; bed was comfortable. Television didn't work. Water was not working a number of times when we wanted to use the shower. Room was overwhelmed by the smell of moth balls.
7. No wifi in rooms.
8. Not enough staff. Rooms are cleaned from 3-5pm because the same staff who wait tables also clean rooms.
9. We had a yoga instructor come for a 30 min evening session for my wife and I and 3 kids. He was good, we enjoyed the stretch. Was surprised when his services came to $100.
10. Food is expensive ad limited options. No kids menu, be prepared to pay $15 USD for a plate of pasta
11. They refill water bottles with filtered water. We asked why the seal was broken on the bottles and they said this is their free of charge water.response / report this review -

A good place by the beach. Don't expect elaborate toiletries in the room.

Beautiful beach, private, clean and perfect for long walks. Food was fantastic and the staff was friendly. The place was quaint and relaxing, perfect to get away from colombo stress!

Beautiful location, space everywhere. Rooms are so very comfortable. Food is great. All in all a perfect getaway
