Food tonight was served cold. Me and my friends all ordered the rice and curry. Nothing was served warm. When i asked if they could heat it up. It took over 30 minutes before we had our food back. And they let us pay the service charge.. They just dont understand what good service is. I will not order the curry here again because of this. The pizza is amazing though!

We loved our stay here, during our first 3 nights in Sri Lanka!

Our room was perfect, just what we needed, beautiful outdoor shower and aircon in our room, with a mosquito net (though can’t say I noticed too many around during our stay in July) and usually they go for me, so I’m a good gauge for these things.

We were staying with our young son, and the beach house had everything we needed to relax and have fun at the same time. Pizzas on the beach are amazing, and a couple of awesome cocktail options - gin fizz was my fave.

They also served the best breakfast each morning, and the coffee was unbeatable, still find myself waking up and craving that delicious frothy latte most mornings!

It’s an awesome little spot, and while we’re not surfers, the waves were pretty decent and we saw many paddling out to take them on, great to watch and be part of the lively scene. It was busy but not too busy, it’s a pretty small bay and we had great fun walking and exploring the surrounding area. Some friendly locals and expats really helped to seal the deal and make our stay truly memorable.

Our son loved the sand of course, and the wonderful characters we met during our stay. We loved it so much that after a few days exploring the mountains and country side, we ditched our original plan of driving inland back to the airport, and instead took the long route back in order to stay here again for our last 2 nights! Sadly, beach house was fully booked so we stayed locally, but still chose to hang out on the beach and enjoy some more pizza and fresh young coconuts 🥥

Family friendly, happy place and so glad we found this awesome little spot!

You'll get a nice pizza + a cool beer or fresh juice while sitting on a paradise beach and your feet getting cooled by the sea. There's not much more to say :)

Totally overcrowded, seems to used to be a cool surf spot, now too many tourists/surfers are going there. Also stones, reef, sea urchins in water- watch out!

Cant recommend this small place. But see 4 yourself.

Stayed here for 5 nights and it was brilliant. Couldn't get a better spot on the beach and the staff were really friendly. Rooms are great too.

Review of restaurant only. Perfect place right on the beach serving good curry and dahl, juices, coconuts, fruit platters and pizza. Australian owned, staff are friendly and the wait is never too long. Plenty of shade from trees and some tables have a roof. They also have a few loungers.

A nice location at a nice bay where it is good for surfing and swimming. Rooms are lovely, comfy beds, but overpriced for the service you get or don't get. For example rooms were not made up or cleaned during our stay. Towels were not changed (which is ok if ou are only staying for two nights, but worth considering ) Further, they don't sell water at the bar, therefore they have a small water "tank" in the room with filtered water, which was never filled! So we had no drinking water. Why have a filter if you are not going to fill it for your guests? Breakfast is good and generous portions, but served with no love! For example all breakfast comes with toast and jam. We got our muesli, then much later our omlette and when we thought that was it, came the jam and toast that was basically thrown on our table. Overall a nice place, when I saw the rooms I thought wow!!! But service was disappointing! A real shame when you have such a great place at such an amazing location.

Beach house is a great establishment right on the water front of Hiriketiya Beach. This review is of the restaurant only as the accommodation was fully booked for the entire time I was around the area (by the way the rooms look great.. super clean and rather chic).
My girlfriend and I stopped for dinner on the first night we were here. The beach is super chilled and ambient with nice dim lighting once the sun goes down. Beach House's vibe is definitely inviting and makes for a great place for a chat and a few beers whilst waiting for one of their pizzas from their wood fired pizza oven. All their dishes are quality, from the sweet potato fries, rice and curry and the salads (the papaya salad is more a fruit salad, but I like it). Service was better than average by local standards and everything reasonably priced.
If you do stop off for an afternoon session, make sure you try the Vodka Nut, a simple vodka cocktail served up in a coconut and a sure way to get a buzz on before renting a long board from next door and going for a paddle. Thumbs up from me!

We stopped by here for dinner and enjoyed it very much. They have tables down on the beach front with oil lamps and soft music, which give a nice ambience. I tried the woodfired pizza - made vegan - and it was excellent, maybe the best vegan pizza I've had, with caramelised onion, tomato, roasted pumpkin and capsicum. The sweet potato french fries were delicious, and so was the homemade ginger sweet and sour sauce. We also ordered the island salad, which was more of a fruit salad, with papaya, dates, a couple of fistfuls of sultanas (lol) some peanuts and a little lettuce. It was a bit sweet for me but my partner polished it off and thought it was great. Would definitely go back.

Lazy owner - likes to surf und not to work. More interested in his own comfort, not of his guest's. Staff quickly overworked. A lot of better accommodations not direct at the beach but very close. Location will be spoiled during the next years. Lot of construction around there.

From the room to the waters edge 15m and the restaurant and bar are on the way. The room was clean comfortable and elegant. If you are luck you may see peacocks fly 300m across the bay

Absolutely fantastic accommodation right by the beach. Love the decor and the beach front cafe. The rooms are basic but made very comfortable with a clean and chic look. The beach is isolated and not very crowded. If you stop by Dikwella, this is the place to be.
