one of the best pubs i have ever been. Michael the owner of the pub is a really nice guy. they got two nice dogs and a pool table as well so if by chance you get to there before 5 (before the bar starts) you can play pool for free. and have to mention the sun set as well, ill add picture that will speak for that.

A bit tricky to find as it's up a steep hill and not very visible from the main road. The food portions were big, and OK. We have veggie rice and veggie noodles. It was very busy and full of tourists. It was night time when we went so you didn't have too much of a view. Smoking was allowed in all places around food which wasn't very nice, recommend having a smoking and non smoking area. Staff were really nice, and seemed to have a British guy in there running the show.

Absolutely loved it here. The atmosphere was awesome. The food was delicious and the service was incredible. I had the beef quesadilla which I highly recommend. Prices were moderate but no more than you'd pay for other similar places. If you're going to Kandy and fancy a nice drink with live music then here's the place to go.

Favourite place in Kandy!

The rooftop bar whilst having a beer, Chinese food and watching the sunset go down was amazing. Add in the chilled music and the two pups moseying around the place looking for scratches and you can see why so many travellers frequent the place.

Food is cheap, however, excellent quality. The spring rolls and chicken noodles with chilli was a favourite!

Best seats in the house are just outside, but still under the awning, ensuring you get the outside breeze and feel, but still covered if it’s a little rainy.

It can be a little hard to find the entrance; look for he long sloping driveway up from the hill and follow it up to the side.

A cool place in Kandy, one can observe a good mix of East and West. Live music performances give an extra edge to the place. The quality of cocktails can be improved and and an expert of cocktails is missing, but still beer and food are always in demand. Many tourists come to make their evening chill. Since the place is been mentioned in many tourists guide books, so many want to go there. I recommend as well.

Great place. Owner seemed to know what he was doing, great atmosphere, live band that didn't sound like hot garbage and the food was actually great. Considering the place seems more like a pub/bar place I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, to say the least. Our server was super nice as well. Wholesome experience, would recommend!

Beautiful view and very friendly owner. The two dogs were the center of attention and they were behaving very well. Interesting music in the background. Delicious and warm food. One of the best places in Kandy to chill out with friends. Highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a classy experience

We had such an amazing time at Slightly Chilled we went back the next night for more. The food is awesome, the service is quick and friendly and the view breathtaking. Sunset with a cold local beer is a MUST! The variety of food will suit all travellers and the price is well worth the generous portions, did I mention the view the owner is extremely friendly, helped us plan our day trip and gave some general tips! I would definitely recommend this place to everyone passing through this bustling city!

We ate in the fairly cosmopolitan and trendy rooftop bar - food was good and atmosphere was good-natured, though we went at a busy time on a weekend when there wasn't much space to sit comfortably while eating. It wasn't an especially noteworthy meal or setting - nice, without being extraordinary. I wouldn't necessarily say you should go out of your way to visit, but certainly a nice place to have a drink and some chilled out food.

a great spot for sunset drinks and dinner. it gets quite busy so get there a bit earlier if you want a table with a good view. they happy hour drink specials for beer and cocktails. plenty of vegan and vegetarian options - we went for the claypot eggplant, friend green veg with garlic and veg fried rice which were all delicious. you can pay by card too which is convenient.

Best atmosphere and rooftop dining in Kandy. You won't regret coming here, DJ decks and great Asian food. Beers are 600 rupee and meal portions well sized.. go for the eggplant clay pot. Mixed crowd with excellent speedy service and you can pay on MasterCard and visa, I love that!

A hidden gem - the place to be in Kandy.

Despite being somewhat hard to find, this place is truly great!

Awesome atmosphere, delicious food and great service! This mix of a restaurant and a bar seems to be a place for everyone, from backpackers, couples, to families. The restaurant has a great variety of dishes in two sizes.

The terrace offers an amazing view over the city. The staff is very attentive and quick.

Try the Devilled Chicken or Clay pot egg plant (vegetarian alternative).

Highly recommended!

Probably the best place to go in Kandy that's open late, sells food and alcohol. Alcohol was a bit pricey but the same could be said for most places we visited.

Very chilled atmosphere, fantastic view and great Chinese/Sri lankan fusion food - try the aubergine curry!

Food is pretty good and relatively decently priced. There aren't many authentic Sri Lankan dishes available but a lot of western and Chinese dishes to choose from. Also, although there website says they open at 11am we couldn't order food or drinks until 12:15. They were setting up and getting things ready up until that time.

Food is authentic, taste ok, but not great. Worth trying if you never had Chinese food before. If dinning at night, the outside is just too dark to see the view. It's a 20 minute walk from the lake.

Up on the hillside is got a great view of Kandy and the large Buddha on the opposite hill. The food was good, between two we shared devilled fish, All butter cuttlefish, Chinese cabbage and rice, really tasty and really filling, that was probably too much for two and we ordered small portions. There are quite a lot of travellers here, the largest concentration I've seen so far so lots of beers and cards were played

Best spot in town to watch the sunset over Kandy lake. Happy hours could be a bit more happier. (currently only 1hour to be happy)

Food was great but it gets a bit crowded so it would be better if you could make reservations earlier.

Really nice location, good view of the lake and kandy! Service was great: fast and efficient. We really enjoyed our food thought it was the chicken with garlic. It's a bit hard to find.. but if you have found it, it's worth searching!
