Make sure you plan to do this ascent shortly after they open the entrance, as the sun will quickly turn this into an even more sweaty experience. At the top, enjoy some expansive views of the surrounding areas, before meeting the next wave of ascending attendees on the way back down the steep steps.

Just a big Rock. It is interesting to walk around and climb up, some parts are outright scary but when you get to the top the views are bland, yes you are high and it's interesting but it all looks better from the air. Nowhere to buy water. It's an interesting experience but I wouldn't advise you not to leave Sri Lanka without visiting it. Go in the morning or afternoon to avoid the heat. The climb is not that bad, the heat it the main issue and you can observe the sunset and climb down. Make sure you check the closing time because you will not be enter after it. There's a museum too which closes slightly before so make a bit of time for it too.

Lovely place with brilliant ancient architecture. There are stairs all the way up to hill. while climbing you can get nice breeze and no words to explain about that. The top views are beautiful, there are 2 different entrance fees, Local citizens paying cheaper than the foreigners. Definitely I will climb this rock again.

Wow superb place to visit. Even the journey little bit difficult, it gives much pleasure at the summit. 360 bird view gives the tranquillity. Very lovely place with ancient architectural creatures. Once I saw them I was wondering how peoples had dealed with giant rocks.

This place is one of a kind. I would definitely recommend a visit here. The climb is easy and the view on top is just breathtaking.
