The place is good
But in the evening the customer care is very bad.

Only one counter is working for the rush hours and people have to wait in long ques. Atm machines are not working most of the time. Poor service

Applying for a credit card, i really had a bad experience especially at the hands of the second officer who was a lady. From the first, she was rude and didn't want to help us. It was as if they are providing a public service. She took my documents but for weeks and weeks i didn't get any answer. Then i get a phone call, some lady accusing me that i didn't hand over the necessary documents. It's as if they are paying your credit card bill. Worst customer service ever!!

Never ever open your LC from KCC branch. It took 7 days for me ,even after giving several calls everyday. Poor attitude and customer service. They are not following up your documents after that . Everyday giving irrelevant excuses.Better choose another bank (even BOC took only a week to approve the Loan with good customer care). If you are really stupid enough to do your banking in Sampath Bank at least go to another branch.

Worst bank. They are super traditional, petty and narrow minded with big ego but no substance to back it up. Rude, racist and judgemental staff that are nosy/gossiping into your private life and finances. Terrible and unhelpful service. Not at all flexible or in sync with technology and trends. (Still they do not allow online transactions on debit cards when all other private banks allow, they only offer a terrible piece of plastic called a webcard which doesn't allow withdrawals, also their is no way to get estatements, they have not switched to green banking, very difficult to activate sms alerts; did not allow to do over the phone, very bad customer service call center too) At branch is no better; They refused a withdrawal without passbook when other banks offer electronic statement. They are miles behind the rest of the private banking sector. And also falling in fitch ratings due to bad capitalization. (A+ is rating that even finance company have) So bad stability too. (They used to be good but not anymore) Do not trust them with big amounts. Keep at this bank at your own risk.
