  “A peaceful happy haven in Kandy”

  We were privileged to have had four days in the delightful company of Shirani and Raja. River Grove their home is charming and it was wonderful to come "home" too tea on the terrace overlooking the lovely tropical garden. Dinner and breakfast were sumptuous - the food was home cooked fresh and varied. The beds were graced with beautiful hand embroidered brilliant white linen - a specialty of Shirani - delicious to sleep in. Both our hosts were excellent guides and a great help in translating English to Singhalese and vice versa. We thoroughly enjoyed their company over dinner and learnt much about the rich history and culture of Sri Lanka.
  We were impressed by our hosts knowledge and thoughtfulness as well as greatly appreciating their kindness.
