Hello
I came to this resort as my guide and travel consultant boooked this for me. I am
Here with my daughter since 2 days and thank god I am leaving now.
Let me start with the staff.. they all are men and creepy. in the night you feel like they all are staring at you.There is no buffet so the choice is so limited and they don’t use gloves. They touch food with their hand and are unclean when you look at them.They should have a bath and look decent and use gloves as hygiene. On my first day I had room filled with bugs and they bit my hand . The whole night they were creepy insects all over despite the mosquito net. I was protecting my daughter as I was scared that she will be bitten with no sleep.bathroom is old and wierd.. no ph in the room which means something happens to you there is no one. I was the only guest one night which made it worst. Dinner I had paid for this..I asked for srilankan rive veg and curry on my 2 night but they gave me so less portion for two of us. I asked Then to serve me some daal and they said they had no more. That is all I could eat since I am a veg . no chef to make breakfast the worst I had and did not eat actually . Only egg and bread that is all they have .
The only plus is the view from the hotel right on a ocean but so deserted that you don’t want to go there alone

Hotel is good, beach is small, with snorkelling boats moored very near shore, service in hotel restaurant is very slow.

Beautiful location, simply on the beach, sorrounded by coconut palms, big, comfortable room with a see-view balcony, great breakfast. Wonderful.

A little piece of heaven on the south coast. Great for snorkeling and diving. Comfortable rooms with excellent service.

This is an awful, awful hotel. The food is poor, the beach isn't private and isn't kept clean. There are stray dogs wandering about and even under sun loungers (much as I love dogs, they pose a rabies risk as they are unvaccinated). There are diesel boats pulled up on the tiny beach in front of the hotel and moored in the water in front of it. You can smell and taste diesel in the water.
The AC in the rooms would only work if the rooms next door were unoccupied, and the TV didn't work.
Staff are friendly and willing but very poorly trained and management turns a deaf ear to both complaints and feedback.
Other guests shared similar experiences.
Mirissa Bay itself is lovely, stay in Mirissa town itself and avoid this hotel.response / report this review -

Hospitality was really amazing . I could use the swimming pool at 11pm as well. I woke up late and missed my breakfast and they voluntary offered me the breakfast at 1 pm. Rooms were very spacious and clean. Couldnt ask for more for the price I paid.

A little away from Mirissa but very spacious rooms with good view of the sea. Affordable price, clean and good service.

Hospitality was really. I could use the swimming pool at 11pm as well. I woke up late and missed my breakfast and the voluntary offered me the breakfast at 1 pm. Rooms were very spacious and clean. Couldnt ask for more for the price I paid.

Terrible The pool under construction, the hotel under construction (noise 24/7, even early morning on 1/1), the staff doesn't care at all about their guest and thinks it funny that there is a whole 1m x 0,5m in the wall leading to the outside. After serving Hal of the table the staff went to a party so we stayed without food on 31/12 evening, and what we got was quite bad. Don't get it confused with the Paradise beach hotel (which is excellent) Guess they choose almost the same name to make it easier filling up the hotel since people book it by mistake.
