  A famous railway station in Sri Lanka. Friendly station officers. Night mail train from Colombo Fort to Badulla oftenly stops in this station for few minutes others than other stations.

  Nawalapitiya is one of the main railway stations of upcountry railway. Earlier time that means before construct the upcountry railway Nawalapitiya is final railway station of Hill country.Nawalapitiya is a rural city and large number of tea estates available to visit. Every trains stop at Nawalapitiya for Maintenance and everything.

  This is base station for controlling and signaling of upcounty area of Sri Lanka railways. When you go to badulla, the beauty begins from Nawalapitiya.
