Its a historical temple located in a top of a mountain. There are ancient paintings still visible on the walls of the temple. At the peak you can have a picturesque view of the entire area. Climb to the top of the mountain is bit tiresome since you have to climb thousands of steps to go to the peak.

This is a Buddhist temple which situated in a large area with trees and rocks. There Are seven temples in a little mountain in various heights. When you climb you can watch that ancient buildings which were built using caves. It's not very high one can climb it below one hour. On the top there is a Buddhist pagoda. Some people throw coins to top of that and make wishes. On the way you will see a little fond too. While climbing there you'll see rock stairs and cement stairs. Rock ones are very old and climbing them are much harder and much more fun. This temple complex has a beautiful surrounding. On the bottom of the mountain there are some abondant caves in the woods. There is a museum too and if you want to see it ask venerable theros

Lots of steps 500 rupees for jolly foreigner as at December 2017. Different types of temples on distinct different levels as you climb up steps. Most Buddha are reclining in caves built into rock. Take shoes off at entrance. Penultimate level challenging. Worth the effort.

Incredible! A must see if you are interested in historical places of Sri Lanka. A unique experience. We climbed all the way to the top with our 6 year old. The elderly may find the climb challenging.
    Beautiful.

Worthy sighting. Usually not crowded at all if you visit there in weekdays. Enjoy the old paintings and panoramic view from the top of the rock..
