A historically important Buddhist temple that is situated in the trincomalee district near the beach. This temple is located at the place where the princess Hemamala and prince Dhantha landed in Sri Lanka with the Sacred tooth relic of Lord Buddha. 🙏💫

Mineral sandy beach with high biodiversity. Lagoon and beach joint to gather make wonderful scenic beauty. Which is suitable for ecological study which is not touched any one

One of most historical place in Sri Lanka. Lord Buddha’s tooth relic was carried by prince Dantha and Princess Hemamaala from India to Srilanka more than 2000 years ago. Once they arrived srilanka this is the place that they stepped first in srilanka.
Also there is very nice view and nice beach.

Lankapatuna  Samudragiri Viharaya at Trincomalee  is said to be lieing in the exact location where the Prince Dantha and Princess Hemamala landed in Sri Lanka with the tooth relic of the Buddha. This is one of most ancient temples in Trincomalee. Buddhist ruins scatter in a area of about 50 acres which belong to the temple.

This sacred location, not well known to the public, is the where Princess Hemamala and Prince Danta; carrying on the princess’s hair the Sacred Tooth Relics of Gautama Buddha, first stepped foot on the island of Sri Lanka.
You should definitely visit this temple.

This place is believed to be where Prince Dantha and Princess Hemamala landed in Sri Lanka with the tooth relic of the Buddha. Very beautiful surroundings. I heard that monks of this Temple also don't receive enough arms so please be generous to offer any donations as this place is a valuable historical place.

This temple is located in Trincomalee district in Eastern Province of Sri Lanka. According to the legends this is the place where Prince Dantha and Princess Hemamala landed in Sri Lanka.

This is a very amazing location. This place is bit far from the Trincomalee Town but by private vehicle you can reach to this place withing 1 to 2 hours drive. there is two roads to reach this place but Trincomalee - Batticaloa road is the best road during the time we visit because the other one is under construction.

During our visit Sri Lanka navy provided the boat service to temple but there is a bridge in under construction so near future people can easily reach to that place by vehicles.
