Good collection but prices are on higher side. The variety doesn't support the price tag. I found some exquisite clothing stuff at airport shops rather then this shop.

Good place to buy Srilankan crafts. Staff are friendlier than other laksala stores. Don't expect unique crafts. One product is available in high quantity. The shop is better for all kind of people who want to buy gifts.

Good quality souvenirs and antiques at very resonable prices. I particuarly loved their Batik clothes and masks . They also have a wide variety of elephants,gems,table cloths ,cushion covers and wall hangings. A great place to buy gifts !

Beautiful place and covers most of the Sri Lankan culture and souvenirs in one place. Also very very conveniently located and has beautiful arts and crafts. If you are going on a tour then you'll definitely see this place as it is the last stop of many tours. The only let down is that it is a little more expensive as compared any other small souvenir shops but quality is not compromised on.

I came here the end of my trip, after 3 weeks of traveling around Sri Lanka. While I appreciate and support the stores stated goal of producing in the country by Sri Lankan craftsman, I’m not sure this mass-produced inventory benefits as a result. Much of what you find here can be bought elsewhere in the country for better quality and a lower price. This store seems to be aimed primarily at the tour bus crowd with long lists of cheap gift souvenirs they need filled

A popular tourist gift sop for tourist guides and tourist as well as others. It was presented as a place where most of the products were produced by handicapped people and where the profit is also ploughed back into welfare of the handicapped. There is a great amount of items of good quality and reasonable price. This includes precious stones, woodcarving and textiles. Well worth a visit.

Wish there were many items that I used to see before during my childhood visits. It was somewhat disappointing to see what happened to my country’s arts and crafts. Everyone and everything is so focused to cater outsiders. Every time I visit Sri Lanka routinely I make an effort to visit Laksala. I saw less items this time

Hand made Sri Lankan sunnies are available specially for foreign travellers. Price is competitively high but quality is very good.

Good range of items.. some of the items felt the final finish was missing but then again these are hand crafted from home industries so you can't expect perfection.. and when you are buying you are helping some who really need it..

Best place to buy mementos to take back home from a great tour of Sri Lanka. Most items sold here are hand made by craftsmen. Every buy helps support their crafts. I've loved the coconut fiber products and handbags of various sizes.

Great finds of local Sri Lankan products for souvenirs and gifts. Priced just right since this is government-run. Staff are helpful and friendly and could orient you on their goods if you are a tourist. Check out the 2nd floor. There is more to discover there.

The official souvenirs shop. Plenty of options in all shapes and sizes. Great place to get gifts for everyone back home. Coconut wine 😄. Beware.. Easy to lose track of your shopping budget here

A good place for arts and crafts and traditional handicrafts. Prices are a little steep, and this is partly due to the fact that these are sourced from authentic craftsmen who are supported by this government owned establishment.

Quality and authentic hand made-ware. But the price is too steep since they are targeting mostly foreigners. If you are looking for an alternative place Laksala located in Cargills building fort would be okay.

A Government shop full of nice. Even beautiful gift items. Said to be locally produced. However desirable those great items are it may be hard to spot just one of them you can't live without. Lots of dust catchers.
