  I was in this hotel last year and I was satisfied that I decided to go again this year. I have booked 2 rooms for 4 people with HALFBOARD. I got confirmation from booking agency that we have halfboard. When we got there the hotel owner told us that we have only breakfast. It did not help this confirmation from agency. He got email from supplier with breakfast confirmation. We wrote email to the agency about this situation. We got response after couple of days. We had to pay for dinner otherwise we will be starving. Hotel owner gave us some price for dinners but it was more than we got. We paid twice for dinners and we got half portions than last year (and I have photo proof). After couple of day we got confirmation from agency that we actually paid for halfboard and we were right not supplier. So they started to negotiate the refund from hotel owner for dinners we paid in hotel. Its 3 weeks and we got nothing. The booking agency wrote us that the hotel owner do not replay to their emails nor calls. Its only complaint toward hotel owner. He was acting like nothing is happening with his fake smile. We wanted to tell him something but we did not want to destroy our vacation with arguing with him. Despite it he destroied our vacation because of his unwillingness to solve this issue. I do not recommend this hotel to my friends because of him.

  I stayed here for a few nights over new year. Clean, comfortable and friendly. Great location for Unawatuna beach - quiet as away from the main drag but within walking distance
