Wonderful restaurant directly at the ocean, offering tables even directly on the beach. The staff is very helpful and the fish is fresh from the day. The restaurant is a family business and the father as well as his son explained to us how the fish is caught. We ate a delicious plate of fish for two. We have been to some restaurants in the area, but this one has the best atmosphere and location. A must see!

First night in Tangalle. Settled in to this restaurant. Overlooking the beach. The service was friendly and efficient. The food, rice, Calamari, Vegs were hot & tasty. The beer cold. Enjoyed an after dinner conversation with the young owner & his fisherman dad.

Wonderful piece of earth!
This Place is Perfect to relax After a Long day at the Beach. You Get local Food and Special Fish from the ocean for a reasonable price cooked inside an old Truck (very Special) This Restaurant is a Family Business and they are very friendly! We can recommend this Place 100% and if You come to Tangalle it is a MUSTBE :-)

We were walking along the beach for over 2km passing numerous empty beach restaurants unsure of where to go for fresh food. We stopped at the little shack with a "bus bar/kitchen" next to it, also without any customers in sight. They assured us their fish was fresh and we're so glad we took their word for it. They're cracked open a couple of coconuts for us while we waited for them to do their magic from their little bus. The fish was beautiful and perfectly flavoured with garlic and butter, served with red rice, a fresh vege salad and pappadums (of course it was made even better with a touch of chili paste!). Fish platter enough for 2, coconuts and a beer - 2500 rps. Awesome meal and such friendly guys running the place!

The best spot in Tangalle! Enjoy a drink right by the sea, amazing seafood and vegetarian. Owners are super nice guys definitely go for dinner.

We had the sharing platter, calamari, prawns, tiger fish and a rock lobster.
It was amazing, so fresh and tasty. Possibly the best seafood we've had!
It is a lovely family run restaurant. Wish we had more time so we could try it at lunch time too. Highly recommend!

Nice people, amazing sea view, good food but we had to wait over 1hour (while others that came later got their) for some simple food. The service was very confuse..

Perfect food and nice staff. Had 3 beers, a water, Sri Lankan Street food starter and mixed seafood plate for two. Payed 5400LKR. Still worth it because everything was fresh and the staff was very good.

Plate with grilled fresh fish, calamari and shrimps for 3000 rupees for two people! Delicious food, very nice staff and great location. Small beach restaurant (5-6 tables) with a lot of charm and good vibe! Go there, eat and chill out!
