  Sacred place. This is considered as one of the 32 sacred bodhi trees.
  
  මෙම බෝධීන්වහන්සේ ජය ශ්‍රී මහා බෝධින්වහන්සේගෙන් හටගත් දෙතිස් ඵලරුහ බෝධින්වහන්සේලාගෙන් එක් බෝධියක් ලෙස සැලකෙන අතර, දේවානම්පියතිස්ස රජ සමයේ මහ ජල්ලික කෙවුල් ගම ලෙස එකල හැඳින් වූ මෙම ස්ථානයේ එකල රෝපණය කරන ලද බව සිංහල බෝධි වංශයේ සහ සුළු බෝධි වංශයේ සඳහන්ය.
  බෝධි වෘක්ෂය වටා අටවිසි බුදුවරයන්වහන්සේලාගේ පිලිම තැන්පත් කර කුටි තනවා ඇත.
  
  කල්පිටියේ සිටින බෞද්ධයන්ට වැඳුම් පිදුම් කිරීමට ඇති එකම තැන සහ කෙලවරක පිහිටි පූජනීය ස්ථානයකි.

  One and only Boo tree in the middle of the town and folks are began from king Dewanampiyathissa's days. There is a newly constructed statue of Lord Buddha and was built by under Navy Supervision. Also known as a Huge historical valuable place.
