We wanted to order alakart menu at the hotel. The waiter refused to confirm our order, anyway he said he will give fried rice only but with no dishes. He kept on forcing us to get the buffet. And after like 5 minutes he said "shall i cancel the order". Staff tries to evade the customers . His service is very disappointing.

Stayed 2 times at this hotel..the hot water ran out,other than that no issues..price is a bit high though,but when nuwaraeliya gets crowded this place has rooms!!
Rooms are bit dusty and may not be properly maintained but upper floors are nicer..
Food is good.
Conveniently located and you can walk around,its a good place to stay..response / report this review -

The worst hotel.. Do not recommend it.. Staff were very rude. They were thugs trying to steal money. Rooms were unclean. Very unprofessional. Toilets were unclean as well. Worst experience

I really enjoyed my stay at this Hotel, everyone was so friendly, I was pampered everyday. Also I love the view and it was near a race track very cool and that Mountain view was amazing. I definitely got the most for my dollar very reasonable rates.

Rooms were quite unprepared despite prior booking and hot water was not switched on despite checking in 2 hours earlier until enquired. And was 1st asked to wait 10 minutes then 20 minutes and then 30 minutes before can get hot water which is a hassle when you have 3 kids and 3 adults who needs to settle down in the cold weather

Food is Expensive. Even for buffet they add a service charge of 10 percent. Buffet was around 980 rupees and fried rice price was about 690 rupees. Considering the lack of places for meals in the area this place and prices are ok but not worth the price

We had a dinner here. Most of it not fit for humans. lucky the dahl had enough spice to kill most bugs so we ate it and the rice only. Most expensive meal in sri lanka yet. Worst service. Asked what was in the chefs salad and was told what ever chef felt like puting in it. Haha. Should have walked then but the kids were hungry. Dont eat with these theives you will regret it.

Buffet was rubbish. No value for money at all. Better off getting fast food or heading to the Kingsbury in Colombo where you'll pay about the same amount but for an actual buffet with more than just 6 below average dishes.

Worst food ever, let along service. Waiters ignored us whole time we were there. Had to wait for twenty minutes to just for the order, and ordered food to arrive took another thirty minutes. Food was horrible. We would never ever go there again.

Rooms are okay. Hot water if fine.
Food is not good. I had a chicken fried rice. Which was the cheeper on the menu. (But still expensive for a local guests) it tastes terrible.
Location is good.
Service has to be improved.
Room rate is acceptable.

WORST food ever. Not at all worthy and also the service was bad. Everything is over priced. If u want to have a good meal, I recommend street food rather than eating this. Also the employees are arrogant and very disrespectful. Even they are very keen on excuses , when we point out things.

One can get killed here and no one will know. Looks like some bunch of thugs are running this place. My husband and I had been for dinner @ their restaurant(Glad that we did not book the hotel for accommodation!). There was some misunderstanding with the orders that we had placed and we were trying to clarify the same. There was this fat guy in the staff who suddenly started speaking in a very rude manner! He was just not willing to listen to us. We told him that it was not a the right way to talk to customers! He replied back saying 'I know you are staying somewhere close by tonight. You are in my territory. I am going to find you and kill you'. He was so aggressive that I am pretty sure he would have physically hurt my husband if people in the restaurant were not watching. We just got out of the restaurant as early as we could. It was a very very disturbing experience for us.

It was a sudden choice in my last holiday. I had to stay at this place because the pre booked place was a mess when arrived there. Rooms were clean and spacious. Facilities were good. Helpful staff. Price for rooms and food was little bit high since this is not a luxury hotel. Not the best deal but satisfactorily.
