one of the best water fall in Sri Lanka. it is believed that taking bath is good for health and mind. even kids can enjoy in the shore. water fall is somewhat fare away.

Nice place for bathing and experience the beauty of mother nature
but always be cautious on water levels. If the water is getting muddy and feel that the water level is rising it is always better to get out from the water as soon as possible.response / report this review -

Very beautiful and attractive place. But travelers have to pay more attention about dumping garbage. we have to keep this beautiful place clean.
Bopath Ella is a waterfall situated in the Ratnapura District of Sri Lanka. It has a shape very similar to the leaf of the Sacred fig or "Bo" tree, which has earned it this name. The waterfall is a major tourist attraction in the countryresponse / report this review -

It's a great place to have a nice moment. The only problem is it's very crowded in holidays. If you need to have a meals there plenty small motels.

One of beautiful place in Sri Lanka. Nice surrounding, awesome water. Just need to be careful on rocks if you're climbing on them most are very slippery. If you have a drone there are lots of cool views to film. They charge rs 20 from local adults and RS 100.00 from foreign visitors.

It’s a beautiful place, but a lot can be done by the administration to make it a better more appealing place for tourists. Clean change rooms and washrooms to begin with. 🙂

Loved the view and feeling when you stay close to the main waterfall. Better to go there before 5 PM.
A car park is available about 500 meters before the waterfall. Better to park there and come as no space to park a vehicle closer to the waterfall.response / report this review -

Here seems to market all,
But not much caring on clean.
Dirty water. All hotels.
And other places.
Care must be taken those who are responsible for the place.

We can go to this place by car. A beautiful waterfall. There is plenty of space to have bath and enjoy the view of waterfall. But going near the waterfall is prohibited as it is dangerous.

Nice place to visit. Short walk to fall. Path is very rocky so not good for people who have trouble walking or small clumsy children.

A beautiful waterfall located in Ratnapura. So many people come to see it and it gets a little too crowded. You have to buy a ticket at the entrance. 20rs for locals not sure what's for the foreigners. Please be mindful to not throw rubbish and polythene when you go there because people have messed it up.

This is a very nice place to visit in Kuruwita area. The Bopath Falls cascades in the shape of a bo (Ficus religiosa) tree. Its source is the Kurugana River.
If you visit this place you have to be careful about the water level of the falls, it can increase any moment without rain even.
