The best place to stay in Sri Lanka, this location is glorious, right in the middle of the rainforest. The tree houses are spacious and well equipped and the views great. Staff at the restaurant are super friendly and the food is amazing. I'd go again!

As a group, we were treated with care and affection by the staff. The staff were well equipped with all the information that we needed, be it food, sigh, or the many cultural quirks of Sri Lanka.

The staff along with the beautiful tree houses/ cottages that we stayed at, left us satisfied customers.

This was my first time in Sri Lanka from visiting from the United States and I loved it! You really get the full nature experience from tree house/boulder rooms, fish spa, amazing food, and diverse wildlife. If you are planning on staying anywhere in Sri Lanka make sure to check out this place.

Unique place to stay and zone out. Great food and friendly staff. Out of the way though (30 minutes to nearest shop) but well worth it! Theres a river with fish that massage your feet for free!!!!

Dehigaha Ela - Back of beyond. It’s a once in a lifetime experience. It is a must visit if you are in Sri Lanka and wont to be on an actual vacation with nature. There are literally no cell phone signals and neither does the Wi-Fi work so it is time to enjoy the nature with all the animals. There is so much to do in the resort itself. Bicycle riding is another option available in the resort and just a km away is a farm field where the locals grow egg plants and tomatoes. Go indulge with the locals and pluck some tomatoes while you are at the resort. The fish spa is a nice place to go relax and let the fish do what they do best. The food at the resort is amazing and they do not use artificial coconut rather they make it themselves. The Lime juice is the best in the country which is generally served to you on your arrival. Kasun the manager of the resort is a really friendly person and his whole crew is commendable.

I really loved this place I must say this place is ideal for nature lovers and its worth going far away from colombo to witness the beauty of our surrounding. I must say the owner of back of beyond should be blessed as he/she taught me the wonders of nature which are spectacular.
