Super friendly staff, great food and super location
An amazing place. The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The service is excellent. The beach is beautiful with great views and a warm sea. A nice selection of pools and bars. You couldn't ask for more.
Amazing resort. We loved it! The staff are very friendly, the food is delicious and the rooms are beautiful. We went for our honeymoon and were treated wonderfully. Can't wait to go back again!
Quite simply a perfect place for couples.
I got married here and I could not have asked for more from the location or the staff. t's the most beautiful surrounding and the staff were all extremely courteous and friendly.
The amenities are well maintained and there are enough activities for you to stop becoming bored.
I will absolutely be back.
Badly advertised. Location close to a road and a private airport! Beach not clean away from the hotel area. Food ok but lots of illness in the hotel. It is not 5* but pricy. We experienced bad weather in February and the sea was too rough to swim in. Wouldn't recommend this hotel.
We wanted to relax in 5 star luxury. We completed that task with aplomb. Sitting and watching the sunset below the sea with a beer in my hand on a daily basis was a personal favourite. If you want lots of lively entertainment then go somewhere else.
Wonderful quality resort on a long good beach with amazing staff
Only visited with a day pass without using the rooms.
Different swim pools with different ambiance. Really nice and relaxing day. All inclusive service. Good food.
Great beach location. Superb staff. Very friendly couples only hotel with all inclusive facilities.
Just got back from a week of 'stealing time' at Rendezvous in Saint Lucia. Loved the resort and would definitely be back one day - maybe when we’re older though (seemed to be a lot of older couples here). The hotel is an hour drive from the airport - it’s a windy road, but once you get there, it’s worth it and the hotel is on the western, Caribbean Sea side, so the sea is warmer and less choppy. All of the staff are so unbelievably kind and friendly and the rooms were nicely updated and comfortable with good AC.
Food: The restaurants were good quality - our favourite was Malabar on the beach, which had a great quality of food and very relaxed and picturesque. Their menu changes every couple of days, but our favourite was the salt fish spring rolls. Lots of interesting, creative dishes! Trysting Place was just okay. We felt a bit let down by it, so only went the once, but maybe we just chose to go on a bad night. The prawns & scallops were totally overcooked and it just didn’t live up to its big expectations. The regular Terrace Restaurant offers a good variety of different food each night (not always a buffet) with the highlights being the Wednesday Creole night and the Friday BBQ night. The breakfast has tons of options, so there’s no doubt you will find something you like. The best though is all the fresh fruit and Tamarind juice. We also did a private dinner in the gazebo on our last night. The options they provided seemed nice, but very standard and blasé, and we really wanted to have the local cuisine, so the chef prepared us a special Saint Lucian 5-course tasting menu with salt fish, jerk chicken wings, cowheel soup, fresh fish, beef, tamarind ice cream. It was delicious and very romantic (waaaay too much food though). If you don’t like their standard menus, they will cater to your request, so don’t be afraid to ask.
Pools: The pools and Jacuzzi are lovely and we especially loved the swim-up bar, overlooking the ocean. Had such lovely chats with the staff. The first part of our visit was very busy, so we did not get sun beds most days, as people very annoyingly wake up early to reserve them with a towel or a book (and then barely use them all day), but we were in the pool most of the time, so it didn’t matter too much to us. They always very quickly and attentively bring you water or juice / take your drink order. The 'lazy river' is not really a lazy river that you can float on, which is slightly misleading. It's just kind of a secluded area with some water in the shape of a river. The area of the beach along the resort is perfect for swimming. Really nice, smooth sand and lovely, refreshing water.
Spa: Also did a couples massage whilst we were there after our hike up Gros Piton. This was much needed and good value for money. The facilities are very nice, the staff friendly and professional.
The Area: The hotel is about a 5-minute walk from a local grocery store (Massey) and 25-min walk from the centre of Castries where you can check out the market, go to a bigger supermarket, have a Piton beer at a local bar, watch the cruise ships, get the local ECD currency from an ATM (NOTE: the little ATM next to the closest supermarket did not accept our card, so we had to go to a proper bank in town, which worked fine; you can also exchange some cash with the hotel in USD or GDP, but the rate is not great, so best to get it at a bank in Castries - there are quite a few - the Saint Lucian Bank is nearest). It’s also a 10-min cab ride to Rodney Bay, which is a nice area to go for lunch and see a different area.
Some people complained in reviews about the location of the resort next to a landing strip and a cemetery, but this didn’t bother us. The airport is only for local flights, so there aren’t that many throughout the day and we never really ventured further than the hotel, so I forgot that the cemetery was even there. Locals walk by with horses or dogs and use the beach in front of the resort sometimes - they are all public beaches in Saint Lucia - everyone is so friendly, it adds to the lovely experience.
This complex or hotel and spar is absolutely top notch. Although parts of the accommodation is a little dated, this is more than made up for by the wonderful friendly and engaging staff. Nothing was a problem and almost every request or enquiry was answered with a smile. Food was excellent and very varied. I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone and would certainly go back again
We came here and received nothing but rude service from all of the employees. We witnessed employees acting extremely rude to non hotel guests, because they were from a cruise and using the beach. At one point we felt like they were treated like criminals for using the shower to rinse their feet and escorted off the concrete to the sand by a security guard. We will not stay here. We travel 3 to 4 times a year out of the country and this is by far the worst experience we have seen. For that reason alone we will not come here again.
This is the perfect couples resort. With great food, multiple swimming pools, beachfront views, and outstanding staff this resort has provided my wife and I with the perfect honeymoon experience.
Amazing hotel for couples, nothing is too much trouble. Dine on the beach, sand between your toes, with fabulous food. Start the day with pilates or yoga then relax on the beach or do whatever water sports you want to try out.
Great laid back resort. Perfect as it's for adults only.
