We went here on our honeymoon, it was nice and relaxing, the service was amazing! Everyone had a smile and not a bad thing to say. We had the butler service and our butlers we're the bomb! Alice and Ives
We would definitely go back there.
If you like a more of a party place check out the other Sandals on the island.

My husband and I spent a blissful week and a half at Sandals Halcyon and it was absolutely wonderful. The resort is the smaller of the three Sandals resorts on the island and I loved that about it. It felt very personal and was very relaxing for us on our honeymoon. It doesn't have as many options for food as the larger resorts but there is a free shuttle that takes you to each of the larger resorts which takes about 15 minutes in either direction, this one is right in the middle. We also had a room with butler service and Claudia spoiled us with surprises daily. Also, Trish one of the activity coordinators was also so much fun! We had an amazing time and I would love to be back there right now!

We just got back from staying at Sandals Halcyon beach April 13, 2018.

When we first arrived to the airport in St. Lucia we went through customs and quickly found the Sandals entrance. The bus ride took an hour and 15 minutes to get to our resort. When we arrived we were told they upgraded our room, which had a pool, that we shared with the two rooms beside us. Our room we had booked previously had a view of the ocean while the one they gave us did not. We still did enjoy our room, it was very nice ! My husband and I are in our 20's while the main age range was mainly older. The food was definitely not up to par. There was only one restaurant for breakfast, which was a buffet and only two options for lunch, which got old. There is a shuttle to take you to the other st. Lucia resorts, but they don't go as often as we would've liked. We visited the Sandals Grande resort twice, and noticed how much nicer and bigger that resort was. Their beach was much nicer and so was their pool. Our beach at the Halcyon had numerous people bothering us while we were at the beach, to buy their goods or to book excursions, because the beach is not a private beach. It was annoying if you brought anything with you, since we did not want to leave out our belongings. We did two excursions, the zip line and catamaran and we loved both of the excursions ! The one problem we did run into was that we switched excursions because it was bought as a gift but was going to the same place as our excursion we had already bought. They did not relay that is was a gift to the tour guide at the hotel, so instead of switching the tour for the difference they gave us a bill at the end. Even after we explained it was a gift and we could give them the card number to pay the bill they would not fix their mistake. We did have a nice time but in the future we would definitely look into staying at the Grande.

Absolutely the best time we've ever had. The staff - and I mean every single one of them - went out of their way to make sure our stay was pleasurable. From Garfield at check in with a glass of champagne, to Agnes at the quiet pool bar who is the sweetest woman, Dawn the masseuse with the magic hands, Chewy from Loyalty, Rita the Bartenderfunny how I loved all the bartenders LOL. And so many others. The restaurants were fabulous! Do go to the Japanese one and Kellys Dockside. They are reservation only but usually have openings. It is customer service personified.

When we arrived at the Halcyon at the end of January on our honeymoon, we were taken to the Club Sandals to check in. We were then escorted to a room, and the staff member told us that we were upgraded, and that we would get it if we were "nice." He proceeded to take us to a garden view room with a small private pool and no soaking tub. It was nice, however we booked a beach view/walkout room with a soaking tub and requested that we please be taken to the correct room instead since this room had neither of those things. Of course, this was not possible because the resort had overbooked, and used the term "upgrade" as a slimy way to avoid fault. We were told that we would be able to have the correct room the following night, but the first night were out of luck, at which point we asked to speak to a manager. The sandals manager was unapologetic, however she offered a lower tier room with a soaking tub for the first night, which we accepted. We then had to ask what would be done for compensation. 3 days of breakfast in bed were offered. That felt pretty pathetic, especially considering food is already included. We had to raise a stink to finally get something more. A candlelight dinner on the beach (supposedly a $199 value) was what we finally agreed to. At no point from club sandals did we hear an apology, but plenty of "As I said" and "I cannot".

The next day we were moved to our correct room. We took a late afternoon nap and woke up to a hot room that evening. The electricity had gone out. We called the front desk and they said a maintenance person was on the way. We waited for at least 30 minutes and had to call the front desk at least once more before an engineer arrived. We sat in the room while he attempted to resolve the issue (removed lights, the bathroom mirror, moved furniture around to get to outlets, etc). The Duty Manager also arrived in the mean time, and was much more apologetic than the previous night's Club Sandals manager. However, we were scheduled to have our make-up candlelight dinner for the previous night's issues and were needing to get ready. To summarize, the issue was not able to be resolved that night, so after dinner we were again moved to another different room for the evening. They prepared the tub for us, and offered a couple's massage and private car to the airport as compensation this time, without us having to ask. We were moved to our correct room the following day.

Both days we were told to check to see if our correct room was available by "2 pm". It felt like the days were revolving around that, instead of relaxing like we expected. We did not want to unpack our suitcases comfortably, since we had to keep repacking to move again. 2 nights were essentially screwed up, and we were only there for 5 nights total.

Another unrelated screw up by the Halcyon Club Sandals was a reservation for dinner we made for Gordon's at the Grand, was apparently not received by the restaurant. Again, we had to argue, but were finally seated.

Another complaint is that the beach at the Halcyon is apparently public. Any time we attempted to go down to relax we were immediately harassed to buy stuff from locals (within 5 minutes). Even saying, "no, we don't have any money," was apparently not good enough and we would have to have long conversations before they would finally leave us alone. Again, not at all relaxing.

It's too bad, because for an all inclusive resort the food was quite good and the drinks were not at all watered down. The grounds at our resort were beautiful as well.

Of course, these resorts are not cheap. At no point were we compensated for any of the nights. The handling of the first night situation is the primary reason for this rating, the other issues just piled on.

We came here to relax in a peaceful setting that also allowed us to engage by choice (aka a place that wasn’t a party scene but also wasn’t a retirement community) and this was just right!

Melissa in the concierge lounge really elevated our experience and is a standout for excellent customer service.

When a hotel shuttle departed early without us, the General Manager intervened and personally resolved the problem. Chris Elliott is a wonderful man and the resort staff have nothing but kind words to say about him. Well done sir.

Pros:
—People, especially the Dutch interns, Melissa, and Chris!
—The grounds are well-kept and the friendly cats (we named one Peter Pan) add to the fun
—The food was pretty good as all-inclusive resorts go. The lamb at the main restaurant was DELICIOUS.
—Included scuba diving made the cost of the resort worth it

Cons:
—Alcohol in room is of lower quality despite the advertisement and the “house cocktail” at the restaurants was usually pitiful, but that’s what the full bars are for :)
—WiFi didn’t work in room and although we asked about it on several days, the problem was never resolved during our week-long stay.
—Had to come home hahaha

Went to Sandals Halcyon for New Years with my girlfriend's family. First time out of the states. The week I spent there was by far one of the most relaxing and fun experiences I have ever had. Every single member of the staff was kind, courteous, and attentive. Maverick at the front desk was very charismatic and professional. A man by the name of Johnathon was very helpful one night helping me to my room. I went to the Grande down the road during my trip; it was too crowded and too large for my taste. Halcyon had just the right size of beachfront, the rooms were right on the beach, and the feel was very cozy and private. Would recommend this to anyone looking of a quiet escape from the world!

I have nothing but great things to say about Sandals Halcyon. For those that have negatives I truly can not say there were "bads". My husband and I got married here in June and it was hot even rained the day of but the staff was ready and waiting to get everything we needed for the day. Our rooms were so clean and well stocked that we truly could not keep up. The food at the Mario's was my favorite and was my go to restaurant. I have a mango allergy and the staff was so considerate that every time I went to breakfast they had a fruit plate waiting on me with out mango from the kitchen. By the way many many mango trees on the property. :) If your an early riser you even see that the grounds crew comes out and cleans everything so that it looks like the day before never happened.

It rained the ENTIRE time we were there, so I'm hoping that's why their beach/water was gross! However, we went to The Grande and their beach/water was a lot nicer. My "spa treatment" was a disaster! I made an appointment before we even got to the resort and I had to wait 30-40 minutes before I was taken back to the "spa". I was not told that most spa services were done outside Since my service was a coffee wrap, they needed a private area with a shower. The private room was a bungalow someone had apparently been using and it had FLOODED! There was water all over the floor and no one had cleaned it up in the 30-40 minutes I waited in the lobby. The guys on the beach HOUND you to sign up for excursions through the resort! One guy literally woke me up while I was napping on the beach! So unprofessional and rude! We also had to wait 1.5 hours in the Sandals waiting area at the airport because the pilot for the helicopter airport shuttle service they use kept telling the staff "20 more minutes". We finally took a van to the resort, which takes 1.5 hours as well! There were 6 restaurants on the resort, but only 1 open for lunch (the bistro) and it maybe had 5 things on the menu. We also signed up for 2 excursions online and received confirmations for these before our trip. We showed up 30 minutes early for our first excursion, as we were told, and they had no record of us booking this and had to schedule another excursion for later that day. Also very unprofessional! On the positive side, everyone was very nice, our room was gorgeous, and housekeeping was fantastic. I would NOT recommend staying here unless you enjoy wasting your money!

Most of the staff was awesome. The site itself was mediocre. Sandals is overpriced for what you get, as usual. St. Lucia is a prime example of what empires do to small islands once they take what they need. If you go, pay the extra money to take a helicopter to the resort. It's an hour and a half to the resort over run down roads and abject poverty. My heart goes out for the people. I'm on a sandals boycott after they shut down another resort because they didn't get a lower tax rate from the island. As a result, local people's jobs were effected. Ok, I'm off this soapbox.

Fantastic service! We chose the Butler Elite service. Davina and her colleagues were outstanding. Always there when we needed anything but were never intrusive. Everyone at the resort seemed to have the guests' satisfaction as their personal goal.
Dining options in site were great, from casual to elegant & romantic. Food was excellent!
In addition to the usual yours and excursions, we also had the opportunity to visit the other 2 Sandals resorts on St. Lucia, a great way to expand your vacation. A fantastic romantic getaway!

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and absolutely loved it! It is the smallest of the three Sandals resorts in St Lucia so it was the most quiet one as well..which we loved! It is in between the other two so it was always a quick ride to commute to another resort. The staff is amazing and the property was beautiful and clean. None of the buildings are more than two stories so you feel like you're tucked away. Kelly's and the Italian restaurant were my favorite places to eat. We can't wait to go back!

I came here last weekend for a wedding and after this experience, I have ABSOLUTELY no desire to return to another Sandals resort, nor would I recommend this one. This was my first time at a Sandals Resort.

The service was amazingly horrible. I travel quite a bit and have never experienced service like this. The wedding was poorly planned. It poured on us and while two employees scrambled to grab us all umbrellas, the rest stood by watching us and the bride get completely soaked. It's the Caribbean, why didn't anyone anticipate showers? Our chairs were wet before the wedding even began and we were sinking into the grass. The wedding should have been moved under the gazebo or under some kind of tent. After the ceremony, everyone was scrambling trying to figure out where to go next because reception plans were not communicated to us all. Finally we found the place, dried off, and they were still setting up. There was no music on so we sat in an awkward silence. Some appetizers were brought out and I went to help myself. I asked one or the employees for a fork to pick up the shrimp and she literally told me "no, u can just dig in." Another employee came around to where we were seated offering fruit. I shook my head saying yes I wanted some and she held the platter from across the table and told me "come get it" I asked politely if she could come around the table because I obviously could ouldn't reach. She just stood there looking at me with the platter extended. The employees' response was "it's heavy." An irritated guest literally took the platter out her hands and brought it around the table to us so we could grab the sliced fruit with our fingers. For what this resort cost, yes I expected the lady to at least bring the tray to me or get us a serving spoon/fork since we requested it.

As we waited for the Dj to set up, another employee stood by the bar chowing down on our food, which I thought was completely inappropriate. Dinner was okay but again the servers were rude and one told me to take a fork off a different table when it came time for cake instead of just bringing out a fresh one.

After the wedding, my mom and I went to claim my bags from the front desk. We arrived literally 10 minutes before the wedding and asked the front desk to hold our bags and when we came back no one was there. so no, there was NO 24 security or attendant. The bride literally had to walk in the back room behind the counter herself and collect our suitcases. Which also means our stuff we're secure at all. This was overall a horrible experience and I've never wanted to leave a resort so bad.

I felt really bad for the bride. The couple received no special suite, the rooms were very BASIC. There was no room service, the resort could use some updating. There was construction going on right outside the rooms. It just wasn't very pleasant at all.

The service wasn't the best for my money. I paid a lot and the expectation could have been great. There was construction and the beach was limited. Events didn't go perfectly or smoothly. They just didn't have enough staff for certain things. No mangoes! Hardly any carribean food. I was not happy

Spectacular vacation spot. Quiet, and pleasant if you want it to be, or take the free bus to one of the other Sandals resorts on the island for a 20 hour a day party. The staff is great, the facility is great and getting better every year. I got married on the beach right in front of Halcyon, and it was worth every penny, and every second. 10/10 would marry my wife again there.

This place is awful. I will never ever go back to a Sandals resort. It's very expensive for what you get. Our room wasn't clean. Sandals forgot to mention they were doing construction the entire time we were there. The "all inclusive" restaurants have weird hours and slow service. My friends left with bed bugs and Sandals said "those look like mosquito bites."

Very intimate and peaceful setting. Absolutely amazing grounds and water/island views . Great variety of food and blend of restaurant choices to satisfy all wants and cravings. Two swim up bars and nice pools but small night time bar and lack of entertainment after dinner. We did a zip line excursion and I highly recommend it to all. The staff deserve a big shout out. EVERYONE we interacted with was INCREDIBLY friendly, helpful, and genuinely kind. They cared about our experience and loved learning more about us.

Is very quiet very relaxing the staff here are phenomenal the amenities here's a phenomenal the food is great beautiful French restaurant for a couple this is paradise and then when you really want to have some fun you go over to the ground there are 3 sandals on the island all three sandals have several different exciting things on them and you can enjoy all three but if you love more lively you go to the other one but if you're quiet a romantic you can do this one my wife and I have spent two vacations year very very lovely

We we'll go back again but we trying the next one down to Barbados and again with sandals.

We had a wonderful 10 days here with our family! I really enjoy the friendly staff and the entertainment. They always have something going. We liked the small resort. I was wishing for more breakfast options by the middle of the trip though.
