  Great view from near the wata must-be location when you are in Luang prabang. Boat crossing, from behind the royal palace, costs 5000kip, each waybe prepared for some walking from the boat landing to get to the wat

  Good view of the city. Quite a few steps to the top, so be prepared for that. The temple itself is nothing special, but you should go for the view if you're on this side of the river.
