Huts are tiny, slightly dirty windowless rooms. Walls are unfinished boards with the ceiling so low it wasn't possible for me to stand up. Flies and general mess everywhere. Noise from a nearby club past 11pm. Inferior to a motel in every way and double the price. Avoid.

Arrived here after hostels in Cambodia and India and an enjoyable change from city experience. This isn’t a hostel, it’s a lifestyle venture of a lovely couple. You have a choice of tent, bamboo hut or hut, all in a small camp environment. Simple ensuite bathroom in the huts, shower block for tents. 17k outside Vientiane so not the place if you want an all night party but if you want a couple of nights by a fire in the countryside, this is perfect. Go back to city / party when you’ve recovered if you want to. Vientiane is a bus or tuktuk ride away if you do want to go in to town. Food fresh, home style, day staff team don’t speak English but you’re in a Lao village! Communicating what you would like is no problem. I cycled to the market 3km away, bought veg and have cooked my own dinner outside my hut. Staff very happy to set up small bbq. Don’t compare this to standard hostels, would suit travellers wanting a few days of something different before moving on or those wanting a peaceful taste of the Lao countryside.

Really chill and relaxed place. Nice and friendly owners. Very helpful. Price quality very good. Free bicycle to use. We did a BBQ and a campfire. With other words we enjoyed the time here.

This place is so amazing and the owners are beyond nice! Vongkham Eco Resort would be perfect for both a big group (they have a stareo system, a projector, BBQ and fire pit) or just some lone travelers who want a quaint/friendly place to spend the night. The food is also really amazing and fresh. The sunsets from this resort are also beyond beautiful because there is nothing blocking your view of the sky, just peaceful fields around. I would highly recommend the Vongkham Eco Resort to anyone who plans to visit Laos.

Unique opportunity to spend time with a local family who are developing a unique environment for those who want to experience rural Laos. They shared meals (some very interesting), conversation and pointers to touring Laos and the region. Far more personable than staying in a hotel in the city. Excellent location as not far from airport or capital and all cultural aspects but for the adventurous, it is a gateway to wild Laos with protected areas and villages nearby. The free mountain bike use and motorbike rentals ensure you can get around with ease. Vin and Touay are a gem, willing to help you enjoy your stay and see Laos and the region. A true Laotian experience. Wonderful.

I want to sleep in the Farm with my own tent and arrived 40 Minutes before sunset. The Owner first wants to have 60.000 Kip (Price is the same for a Caravan in Germany Camping Place). Later he wants to have 40.000 Kip. I simply only want a shower and a place to built up my tent. For 40.000 Kip I don't sleep in Tent for one night when there are a lot of Guesthouses arround with shower and bed for same price.
In Luang Prabang I slept for 30.000 Kip DIRECT at Mekong River. :)
I think this price is fair for such a good view.

The owner is incredibly kind and accommodating, and location is unique and peaceful. My partner and I stopped here during our cycle tour, and the location was perfect for us to spend a full day in Vientiane and then get out of the city before cycling north in the morning. We greatly enjoyed staying in one of the tents, but for extra comfort (ensuite bathroom) I would definitely opt for a bungalow next time! Highly recommended.

This is a nice place to relax.
They just opened so they try to implement more things in the future.
The tents are big and cheap to stay in. You can sleep there with 4 persons.
The staff is friendly and the owner tries to make it as comfortable as possible.
    There's a barbecue and a bonfire.
You can rent a scooter to visit the center (which you can do in 1 day) and they have transport to pick you up or drop you off at the busstation or the AirPort.

We stayed here for 3 nights in a super spacious tent. It's a beautiful quite place to unwind. The owners really help to make your stay as great as possible, they provided a motorbike to visit Vientiane, we got together on a bbq with the other guests.
A basic accomodation with a warm heart.
