Nice cave for those who like adventures as you can go by yourself along the tunnel (if you don't mind walking in water). Worth stopping for a short break on the way to the villages.

We wandered out of town to here. Its about an hour but we had gone on to discover nothing of interest so came back to the cave.
We were charged a nominal fee to cross the bridge which is fair enough. It was very grey when we were there but still stunning.
Im not to sure if you could wander as much if the rice season was on.
There is a small cafe and a toilet. No food just ginger tea. The man who owns it was nice and chatty.

A nice hour walk from the village. The cave itself is okay, nothing special but the experience which included lunch by the river bank was all worth it. It took and hour to get the food but it is the kind of experience you cannot easily get in the main village.

It's OK to go here as there is not a great do was to do in the village here. The cave has a stream which comes from a spring in the mountain, it is crystal clear water and there are fish up to 30cm here who you can feed.
The cave goes back quite a way. I went in about 30m and it went further bit my torch wasn't the best, so if you want to explore take a good torch and have fun..

Interesting to learn about the history of this cave which was used as a hideout during the war. The cave system apparently goes all the way through to the other side of the mountain.

Reliable strong lighting (there's no lighting) and good shoes (it's slippery and there are no supports) are a must if you plan to venture into the cave. If you plan to go more than a few meters in, either have a guide or make sure you can navigate your way out. Our guide told us that a tourist died here after falling into a hole in the cave.

Really nice cave, with crystal water inside, you can climb around and go deeper or just stay in the 'surface' and enjoy a cool bath against the midday hot sun.

We went there as there's not really much to do in Muang Ngoy. However, it's not really worth coming here just for the cave. At least it was cool inside. The walk was nice though, very calm and no other tourists at all. You have to pay a small road toll on the road to the cave (for whatever reason).
