Lovely bar and restaurant right in city center. Sit outside at curbside or under the roof eaves in comfortable chairs. The beer selection included both domestic and foreign beers. The food menu, though not extensive, offered tapas-style foods, including satays and spring rolls. Full entrees are available too. A very comfortable experience; get there before sunset, stake a claim, relax, and watch the world go by.

Tangor is my favourite restaurant in Luang Prabang. Everytime i visit its my first port of call. The chocolate lava cake is divine! The wine yummy! Its just fab!

So far the tastiest food and drink we've had in Laos. Cocktails had depth and balance (though we had one remade). Food had depth, balance and presentation. Friendly staff. Minus one star for speed of service. Would recommend.

I like the music and the atmosphere where you could have a drink, chill watching Luang Prabang slipped by. Food wise, they have european choices and small snacks - to my taste good but not wow. Large choices of drinks. Prices are quite high for main dishes. Service was very attentive. Terrace upstairs’ a nice place to watch from above.

Place with nice atmosphere. Quality is fine, but it is slightly overpriced. Hint: Try to get a seat on the balcony in the 2nd floor and enjoy Luang Prabang's nightlife

Food is so-so and service could be improved (waiting staff can't really understand and speak English). However, the music selection is incredible - you'll be in for some old school jazzy treat!

It was actually really good first couple times I went there. But on my last visit it took them 20 minutes to come over and take my order. And that fish fillet ended in a toilet (going back the same route it got into my body), I felt so bad I had to miss my bus. Don't really plan to visit them again or recommend it to anyone.

If your planning to go there, avoid fish fillet. And be aware that service is not consistent. Even with almost empty restarant it could take up to 20 minutes to order anything (they had so much french friends around to chat with, owner actually stared in my bored and hungry eyes - and went away ignoring me)

This is the ideal place for a relaxed drink or a refined meal. The service is guaranteed irreproachable, the drinks and food are very good. A soothing atmosphere of French Indochine brings you back to the colonial era, with a balanced touch of modern decoration and pleasant jazz music. Worth more than a visit!

Simply the best option in town for romantic lounging and dining: the cosy and nostalgic decor, warmly lit at night is becoming iconic of Luang Prabang! Tangor has a very unique menu that blends elegantly French cuisine and Indochinese flavours in an innovative fashion, wether in their meals or even in their house cocktails. The wine and whisky selection is great and the service is outstanding, one of the best in Laos in a private establishment, because the Laotian staff is well trained by the ever present french owners, who often do the service themselves to keep in touch with the customers. Their constant involvement and dedication are the key reasons for Tangor to remain one of the very best restaurant in Luang Prabang, a beautiful experience for the first timers to Laos, and an institution of sorts among local residents.

Had lunch here yesterday, haven't eaten anything since. Got a really bad case of food poisoning. So bad that I had to visit a doctor. Good times!

Update: I contacted the restaurant, and they took the issue seriously. It seems like this most likely was a honest mistake that will not happen again. And after reading other reviews, it looks like my food poisoning was a once in a lifetime event. Because of this, I will still recommend this restaurant, even if i got sick after eating here.

Lovely atmosphere, great dishes, good selection of wines, beers and spirits. Enjoyable background music. Nice place also to down a few drinks on their terrace at sun down watching the world go by. A bit pricy but worth it. Regular life performances and attentive service.

Good mains, amazing desserts! Cool atmosphere and opportunities for people watching. Service can be a little on the slower side, but only when all tables full so understandable. We went back every day. Best restaurant in the city.
