Music too loud, boss sitting outside like a mafia boss, menu designed like mosquito repellant for Italian diners. However the pizza was edible, the music was eventually turned down, and I love mafia bosses!

We’ve been here twice, both the times we had the mixed starter and it was fantastic: salame, prosciutto, blue cheese, Camembert, bruschetta, olives and cherry tomatoes.
Everything was delicious and well presented.
The forest lasagna we had during our first visit (with mushroom and truffle) however, has been very disappointing: dry and chewy, could only taste the mushrooms, totally not worth it if paid full price (they have a promotion on Wednesday).
During our second visit we tried the pasta: while my partner enjoyed her bolognese, with well cooked fresh pasta and a tasty sauce, my carbonara wasn’t really good. Bland, overcooked spaghetti, tasteless bacon and cheese. From a restaurant that prides itself on importing Italian ingredients, I was expecting much better.
Also both the times service has been inadequate: they always brought our mains almost at the beginning of our starter and then they forgot about us leaving menus and dirty plates on our table for the entire lunch.
Nothing is terrible, something is good, but most surely is sub-standard.response / report this review -

Great pizza, nice atmosphere at the restaurant. But did I mentioned the great pizza. The lace would have gotten 5 stars but the wait staff forgot my friends pizza order and we had to wait very Long for him to get his food.

The place was a little bit older and mistreated. But the food was very good. My wife had a carbonara and i had a gnocchi 4 cheese and a meatball. Everything delicious.

Amazing fresh pasta. Nice wine list by the bottle, just a few by the glass but the Capetown red I had was excellent. Recommended if your looking for an Italian night out!

Leaving a review as I can see the owner cares enough to read and reply. If I could give 4.5 stars I would! Only not 5 as the base of the pizza was a bit soft / would be great if more crispy. Also would be great to see some hot chili available - the chili oil was very mild (but I like hot stuff).
Very big pizza, enough for two. Tasty. Would definitely recommend. Nice garden area out the back, and was allowed to bring my half finished beer lao in.response / report this review -

I usually don’t leave reviews but I feel like I have to leave a good review for this place after seeing all the poor reviews here which I disagree withI randomly came to La Silapa a few nights ago and had an amazing green curry and sticky rice dish. It was so good that I want to go here again tonight and order the same thing, but I didn’t remember the name or location of it. So now I just spent 15 minutes searching google maps for this place trying to match the review pictures with the pictures I had taken (found it from the matching place mats). Anyway, I recommend this place at least for the green curry and sticky rice. I can’t recommend the pizza or not but come on, you are in Asia, don’t expect your pizza to be as if you are in Naples Italy or New York.

Serves pretty OK pizza. Ambience is nice but blue/red lines make it very pub like. They have a garden out back which is nice enough though I just sat roadside. Pizzas costs 60K and above depending on what you put on. I ordered Diavola (with local meat) cost me 59K. The surrounding area is nice at night, especially when it rains. Happy Travels.

Best Italian style pizza you can find in town, cheap on Wednesday. Cozy sheltered garden where you can enjoy your meal on soft music surrounded by green. Great for a drink with friends also.

Starter and main course were tasty however the cocktails and juices need work. The staff could know the menu better (seemed confused by things we ordered) and the desserts were very substandard. Very strange choice in music but maybe just the evening we went

A genuine taste and feel of Italy in Luang Prabang. Opened by an Italian chef and you can easily feel like you have been transported to Italy. Good range of Italian dishes on the menu as well as wood fired pizza. The bar is extensive and the seating ranges from a private garden to cozy tables inside to street side seating. Worth keeping an eye on because they are always offering specials and deals.
