  If you are looking for pure nature and a beautiful, relaxed, lovely place this is it. We took the bus from Luang Prabang and were picked up by Michele (he will help you with the organisation: it was super easy). Michele speaks perfect English so nothing to worry about as he will help you as much as he can. Tao guesthouse is a beautiful garden with lot’s of flowers and vegetables beside a river. All rooms have a balcony with river view. You can swim, do tubing (super much fun and super cheap), trekking,. or just relax with free coffee and tea all day long. Tao is the best cook. You will love her mainly vegan food from their own garden.It is so delicious! If you wish meat is as well available. This place is very calm as it is far from other tourist attractions and Tao and Michele are so lovely and funny. We loved to stay here and can recommend it to everyone who loves nature. Thank you Tao and Michele for sharing your paradise with us!!!

  Amazing place, we planned to stay there 1 night and finally we extended our stay to 5 nights. You feel there a very special. Tao preparing huge delicious meals which we ate all guests together. Around is a lot of place to explore. I honestly recommend that place. Thank you for great time.

  Ssshh Don't tell anyone about this place. It's a secret find. Away from the tourists, this is idyllic and real laos. If everyone knows about it, it'll be ruinedso don't tell anyone!

  Best place I stayed on my Lao-Trip. I felt welcome from the first second. As a part of the family you experience the real way of lao people and their life in the village. I recommend Tao Guesthouse to everyone, who wants to join the lao life in a small village within a beautiful landscape. It's more worth to come here than to go to Vang Vieng. Michel and Lao grow a lot of flowers and vegetables in their garden what makes their guesthouse to a colourful and wonderful area.

  Tao guesthouse offers a unique experience. Part guesthouse part home stay, when you stay here you will temporarily be welcomed into the family who you can eat meals with. Home roasted coffee, home made tea and home made tobacco is free. So is water, and we were frequently being plied with snacks. On site is an organic tubing. Free tubing as well as visits to farms and trekking is available. Rooms are bungalows, mostly river facing, with a hammock out front. At 80,000 kip per double room and 20, 000 per meal this incredible stay was cheap, particularly when you consider the price of homestays.
