Stopped in for a drink while passing by. The cocktails are a bit pricey but good quality. BeerLao draft is available as well as bottled. The service was great. It was slow enough we were able to have a nice chat with the bartender. Overall cool place and the atmosphere was relaxed.

The classic backpacker hangout! Probably the friendliest staff in all of the bars in Ban Aphai. Those guys are alcohol-friendly, smoker-friendly, gay-friendly, sports-friendly, lao-friendlyand they serve the best burger you can get in Laos for less than $5 No wonder it is the #1 place to meet the locals: everybody loves this place!

A bit more of a local and expat bar than a fully tourist one. If you are a backpacker then it's not quite as trendy as some bars in town but may well give you the opportunity to rub shoulders with more locals. Free pool table (write your name on the board and wait your turn, how long depends on the queue) and then show off your skills against locals and expats who know how the table runs. Good drink prices and a western style menu of burgers and pasta available.

Great vibes, music that makes you want to dance, pool table (or snooker or billiards), and decently priced drinks keeps me coming back. It attracts a nice melange of travelers, locals, and expats that like to have a good time.

Went to see the Rugby World Cup Final. Was not on the big screen but on the small ones. Lots of drunken Kiwis and Aussies The bar is fine, a bit pricey but ok.
