Cheap local food.

Half chicken for 30k, 100g pork for 8k. Coke for 6k.

Must try the crepe selling along the road by a young family. Colourful cartoons paper wrapper. 6k for one.

Great for fresh local produce, some lovely cooked items such as barbeque duck, pork, chicken and good vegetarian foods. Quite small and intimate and a visit is highly recommended as there isn't much else for the evenings. Lights out early here.

I recommend a visit here, to eat local food and relax after a hot day. None of the ladies that sell food know English though. But we ended up with a Lao guy who spoke perfect English. So I recommend you find one interpreter here.

Nice streetfood, with an great ambiance and it's super cheap. The public tables in the middle tend to be dirty and there are alot of dogs. But the dogs are ok, they dont bark and aren't agressive.
Definitly try it once!

We found nice food. It is not easy to get what they sell. Sometimes it's real local food as chicken feed, frogs or rats.
But if you look well, you will definitely find what you like and for cheap.
We ate well !

Negative point : You are never in peace with the seller dressed as ethnic village people , trying to sell you their bracelet, bag, hat or even drugs.

Nice hardcore place for a dinner and a drink! Just fend off the stray dogs and Akha ladies, who curse you if you do not buy their poorly made handicrafts or opium, and enjoy your meal. And please remember - don't be idiots and DO NOT BUY OPIUM FROM LOCALS! Do not vontribute on bringing the dark ages back again

Considering that most restaurants in the area aren't too good, the night market has the best and cheapest food you can eat in Luang Namtha. Great for having dinner with the locals.
