  We visited in July 2013 which was the "off season" and despite all the great reviews, this place needed some maintenance. It might have been good or even excellent when it was built but that was a few years ago - the puddles in the car park, the broken down tuk tuk covered with a sheet of plastic, the crate of empty drink bottles on the door step, the slippery and uneven paths, the broken railing there to stop you falling in the river BUT the room was good, clean and the breakfast very wholesome and the pool is perfect.
  Let's hope they get their act together and bring it back to the standard it has been at because it really could be one of the best places in Vang Vieng
