Cheap price. Room was clean and nicely sized. Staff were friendly. We hired scooters for 80,000 kip a day with no issue. Breakfast is included and ok.

We had a private room, it is quite small. Breakfast is just simple but they should have lids for the food. Location is very near to the river and night market.

Cheap, clean, comfortable with friendly staff. Very close to the airport. We stayed for a night as we had an early morning flight and it was close to the airport. For the price we paid, got a pretty good room and a decent breakfast.

Love this place. Cheap, good rooms and food, right next to the night markets and the river. The owner was super friendly and helpful with directions and advice. She was also really excited to help us try local food and drinks. Highly recommend! Also they have cheap bottles of water.

Breakfast is very nice, buffet. Twin room is not so nice, but for a 110.000 per night totally fine. Toilets are on the floor, mattresses are very very hard, no windows in the room. But ac if someone needs that. Stuff is very friendly and always there to help. You can rent scooters and bicycles. It's so close to the night market, which is awesome. And they have a wonderful terrace on the first and second floor.

The price is very good, you have different options of breakfast, delicious, the only thing I haven't LIKE, is that the 5 dollar room are very expose, so any person can enter the rooms and nobody will care of your things there, the shower and bathrooms are quiet clean, internet is enough fast, after all is a worth place and Cheap!

A little confusing since online there is an Ali Backpackers and an Ali Hotel. But I think there is now just an Ali Hotel since we saw both signs on the outside but inside it was just the hotel. Good value for the price.

They decided to put us outside instead of inside the building. This ouside dorm is not in the picture! It was like a dungeon and they locked the entrance door to the dorm rooms from outside at night. So many mosquitos in the room every time we opened the door. Bathroom is outside so expect mosquito bites when you are using the sink. We asked to move to inside for the second night which they promised and then decided to tell us it is full later. Just make sure if you are booking this hostel you might be put in the dorm outside. Free breakfast was just basic. Toast and bananas. It took them forever to restock the food every time it was out.

Excellent shower. The bed's mattress was really hard. ** Staff are not helpful at all, they don't seem to care about customer satisfaction. For example, they have a sign in every room asking for a U$ 25 penalty if you eat in the room, but they don't have a sign in the hallway asking for customers silence. Another example: we arrived very tired at 6h and they did nothing to get us a room earlier. They told us our room would be ready at 11h, we went out for lunch at 10h and we came back at 14h they said the room was not ready yet. ** They don't explain anything unless you ask them, in detail. ** They asked to retain our passport because we wanted to pay later to exchange our money first. That means, they don't trust the newcomer's customers. First time we had this treatment in Laos. ** Breakfast was good, they offer six options, all include coffee, tea, bread and one banana. ** Location ist very good, close to Mekong river, night market, plenty of restaurants, massage's places, currency exchange houses and banks. ** Room had no window, but if you let your bathroom door open you can enjoy the air and lightning coming from bathroom's window. ** The room and bathroom is clean enough. ** The wifi range and strength is very good, but sometimes we lost the signal inside the room.

Ali Hotel was just okay. The service was friendly and included breakfast is always a plus but the rooms weren't great and the location was an issue, sort of. Our main problem with the rooms was that the beds. It was like sleeping on a thin blanket on marble floor. It was much too firm. As for the location, how you like it depends on how deep of a sleeper you are. It's really close to the night market but that also means there's the constant sound of a balloon popping game late into the night. Not their fault really but something to keep in mind if you're considering booking here.

We stayed for three nights and had a good stay. The staff (especially the volunteer) was very friendly and enabled us a comfortable stay. The beds were hard, but nevertheless comfortable.
One down is that the staff wouldn't accept a 100$ bill, so we had to walk through thw whole city just to have it changed at another hostel. That could have been prevented. Nevertheless a great stay!
