Had a long wait despite having booked an appointment ahead of time (poor management). Staff are not friendly nor welcoming. Service is heavily overpriced. Use this if no other alternative available.

Didn’t feel very comfortable here, and I’ve been in many healthcare settings around the world. The staff just weren’t very friendly, they didn’t smile and make me feel welcome at all. In fact, I felt very unwelcome as an American. Everyone else was speaking French. I’m sure the doctors are friendly once you get to know them (I saw some positive interactions), but I didn’t feel like I was welcome when I arrived.

As a preface, I do think this is one of the better options if you have to get medical help in Laos, but if you can manage it I would fly to Bangkok instead. Doctor wouldn't believe me when I told him what happened and gave me a wrong diagnosis (which luckily I knew made no sense). Flew to Bumrungrad hospital in Bangkok and the doctor knew instantly what it was, backed it with facts and pictures, and proscribed me the correct medicine which led me to recover in a few days. My doctor at Bumrungrad also had no idea how the doctor at the French clinic came to his conclusion on the incorrect diagnosis.

It is expensive but it is the only place where you can find real doctors and get a proper diagnosis

No problem scheduling a consult for later in the day. Fees start at 300000 kip for initial consult. Reasonable prices for diagnostic xray which was completed same day during the consult. Wish American med system was as straightforward.

I'd say this is the best clinic in town for general health care. It's where expatriates and some locals go see doctors - mostly French doctors. It's been my local clinic while living there for a few years. Be reminded that it closes on Sunday and not open after 7 PM every day. It also closes for 1.5 hours from 12:00 to 1:30 Mon-Sat.
