Definitely a meh. Food was so is and our waitress was in a huge hurry even though nobody else appeared to be. Great beach though. Would recommend this for th bar and beach seen. You probably want to skip meals here though.
Great beach for all kinds of activities such as snorkeling and swimming. We came here for jet skiing and it was really fun. Highly recommend place to visit while visiting here.
Nice beach and good for snorkelling. The food and drinks are great but the staff could be friendlier EDIT: went today and they were completely different, really friendly, especially Vernan!
It was decent. I really thought they would have been jamming Reggae music or any kinda music but they didn't. Sand was pretty rough and water murkey, not pretty like Copacabana Beach Club in Barbados. Small area full of chairs. The water sports available was nice. Didn't care for the women going around constantly bothering you for massage. I understand making your monies but how many times do you have to say NO🤔? Food was decent but over priced for the quantity given.
Food was fine. Nothing spectacular but this place is all about the location. If you are at Cockleshell Beach, this is a good option.
We didn't end up eating here but the food smelled delicious and everyone who was eating and drinking was having a great time. There was definitely a festive atmosphere and a fun vibe.
They had public restrooms and they were right on the beach with a stunning view of Nevis.
There were a few other small bars along this stretch of beach but this one seemed to be the most attractive.
Relaxed chilled out place. Lovely friendly laid back staff. Bring swimming shoes. This is a must as the first few meters into the sea is shells. Really sharp hard work with barefeet. Sunbeds 5 dollars umbrellas 5 dollars. A bucket of 6 beers 20 dollars. Well worth the visit.
My boyfriend and I have been to reggae beach bar and grill twice. The first time was a 5-star experience.. great food, great service, the second time we came 2 years later on February 2018. We had to wait over and hour and half for our food to come, they were out of multiple things. It was very disappointing, still gave 4 stars because maybe they were just having an off day.
Great food and one of the more affordable options in the area. I had the lobster sandwich which was delicious! The Reggae colada is also very good if you're looking for beach drinks.
Good service depends on who you get. Beach chairs are reasonably priced. Food and drink is reasonably priced for the island and is good.
All in one place for your perfect beach needs. Plus free wifi. Price for all is very reasonable.
Had a great lunch here. The fish was awesome. If you come down to St. Kitts don't miss this place. The beach and views of Nevas are great. The prices are not be bad.
Awesome little spot. Watersports, beach stuff, drinks, the sweet smell of ganja This beach and bar had it all
Reggae Beach is a fantastic place to visit at Cockleshell Bay near the bottom of the island, where you can relax on the sun loungers looking across the sea to the island of Nevis. Reggae has a great bar with a large variety of drinks and bar food, a shop for gifts and you will also find St. Kitts Water Sports offering great rentals if you want to be more active
Fantastic food and drinks. The atmosphere is very inviting.
The food was really good the service was a little slow because it was so busy so I won't complain about that but I enjoyed myself
Wonderful food, great drinks and the watersports are a must.
Taste of Excellence Bar catering is the best catering company on the island of St Kitts it own and operate by Mr glenson hobson hotel and bartender personal
Great food. Great atmosphere. Overall excellent vibe
Relaxing beach bar on Cockleshell Bay at the southern end of St. Kitts. Offers local rum, beach pub grub, massage, table service, cab service to port. No ATM!
Great place to hang out. Great food but pricey.
Awesome place with music, great food, and calm clear beach waters. My family of 4 had lunch thereI had the grilled Mahi Mahi w/vegetables and it was EXCELLENT. Can't wait to go back!
Nice clean beach. Good food. Nicely secluded
Excellent sea food and atmosphere. Bring your sweetheart for a romantic dinner on the beach.
Very enjoyable stay at cockleshell bay. Prices good. Ran out of buns but grilled fish was still a nice meal.
The staff is friendly, the food is delicious and the beach is relaxing. What more could you ask for?
We asked a ton of the locals where the best places to eat were, and almost all of them said to go to Ragae Beach for Lobster Fest on Friday. It was the best lobster that I have ever had! Even better than the lobster that we had at Sprat Net on Wednesday, which is the day they told us to go to Sprat Net, because they have a special too.
You can choose like up to 3 or 4 meats, I can't remember, or you can just have one, but I would totally recommend just getting the lobster, because it is so good. If you only get the lobster, they give you two halves of the lobster, which is equivalent to a whole lobster. They also have a buffet for sides that come with your meal and they have this donut hole looking thing, and it is so good.
We asked them how they cook their lobster, because it is cooked so perfectly, the best lobster I have ever had in my life. They said they boil it for 20 minutes, then spread on the melted butter, then grill it for 20 more minutes.
I would totally recommend that anyone go to this restaurant if they visit Saint Kitts. It was so delicious, and rich with flavor.
The special is on a Friday, so if you are going to go any of the days, pick Friday.
If you are visiting Saint Kitts, you have to try the drink TING at, at least one of the restaurants you go to. It is like their version of Sprite, it has a sweet citrus flavor. Yes it says it contains Caribbean Grapefruit, but I don't like grapefruit so don't let that scare you off. It ended up being my favorite drink on the island, and I so much wish they would make it in the US. You have to try TING so good.
Other Restaurants I would Recommend:
We asked the locals and these are some that they told us, we tried them, and were absolutely thrilled at how good they were.
Sprat Net: Wednesday
Buddies (it is in the strip of a lot of restaurants): my favorite meal would be the shrimp pasta. It was so rich and creamy, the best pasta I've ever had. The ribs are also delicious.
Boozies (also in the strip): I really enjoyed the pasta, but Buddies pasta is better. I will say that Boozies Cajun Shrimp pasta had the best shrimp I have ever had in my life. Also, their smoothies are thick and creamy and they are delicious.
Shipwreck Beach Bar: If you want to see monkeys, this is the place to go. They all come out, millions of them, at lunch time around 12-1 maybe, because Shipwreck puts out a platter of leftover food out for them. If you don't want to be chased by monkey though, I would recommend NOT to bring any type of fruit, because they will not leave you alone. I saw it happen to other people. It is also just an overall great place, because it is right on the beach, where I immediately saw a starfish right when I got there, the food is good, I had the fish and chips, and it's just a great location.
DO NOT EAT THE PIZZA AT PORT ZANTE: the food is no good the pizza was awful, if you are comparing it to the other places where all the food is homemade. Granted, the ice cream or whatever it was, I can't remember, that was very good.
DON"T EAT AT SHIGGIDY SHACK, EAT SOMEWHERE ELSE: on Thursdays there is a show where a guy comes and does some cool stuff with fire. When I went on the Thursday, fireman canceled, because it was the day before Saint Patricks day, and we had already ordered out food, so we couldn't leave and eat somewhere else. The food was not very good. I would recommend that if you want to see fireman on Thursday, eat somewhere else before you go and then go to Shiggidy Shack and maybe order a drink if you want.
The LOCAL FOOD COURT: oh my gosh their food was very good! The pot fish is really good, but let me warn you, they don't take out the bones, so be careful. (we had a local recommend that we try blue parrot fish if you can find that anywhere, maybe at the food court)
Jamrock
The Dock: if you can't find it, it is hiding behind sunset cafe lower down near the beach. It is good. I had the fish and chips and they were so good.
Hope this review was helpful in your choices of where to eat! Enjoy!
When it comes to beach bars, few can top Reggae. Food good, service good, beach is simply one of the best!
