We arrived quite late into St Kitts, and not only was the luxurious water taxi waiting to take us across to Nevis (and on to the resort) but so was a friendly and welcoming staff with cold towels to cool down and a nice cocktail refresher before checking in. They even held up the dinner service that evening to accommodate us.

An absolutely stunning inn with plenty of old-world charm combined with all that a seasoned traveler of today would come to expect and even be wowed by.

A distinctly English civility surrounds this place and hands-down some of the calmest peace and tranquility in the entirety of the Caribbean can be found on a hammock right here at the beaches of the plantation.

Dining in the great house was a real treat each night, as the food and wine was impeccable and the staff, fellow guests, and live entertainment provided a certain ambiance akin to being on a holiday in a paradise of a completely different world. Protip: pack collared shirts and long pants of the west indies variety (read: linen), you'll be happy you did and dressing up a touch for dinner on holiday adds to the feel of your dining experience.

Generally preceeded by a nice cool morning swim in the pool or ocean, breakfast was actually my favorite here; not because of some flamboyant presentation but more so because of the chic-casual vibe of it all. The staff knows you by name, they genuinely care to engage with you (or recognize your desire to be left alone) and they're empowered to individually make sure your stay is memorable and completely fulfilling.

I can't speak highly enough about the plantation and can't wait to return!

One of the few vestiges of old British colonialism left on the island. Food and service was superb. Views and rooms are amazing.
