Playing the dolphins was absolutely great! On the walk up, however The area the dolphins are kept in really makes me worry about how well their quality of living is There were 2 in a small area on their own that seemed sad; the area we played with them in seemed just large enough though

Enjoyed this excursion. Facility was well kept up, dolphins were properly taken care of and trainers knew what they were doing. Will go back again next time we're in St. Kitts!

Our kids had a blast doing the dolphin encounter. For those who are cruising and have the option to be an observer with a party that is conducting an encounter, beware that you really won't observe much. They have a nice designated area for you to sit, but all of the activity is at the docks, so if you were thinking that you would be able to see that wonderful smile on your kids face while you are observing, you would be wrong. The advertising is a little misleading.

Great way of seeing the dolphins. It is expensive for viewers who don't see the person they came with as everyone split into groups of 10 and taken to different sections along the pier. The photos are amazing quality and you can just purchase 1 or 2. Nice bar on site. Gift shop with. Usual. Although dolphins in enclosure you get impression they are well looked after.

My husband and I had an amazing experience in St. Kitts Dolphin Discovery as an Excursion when we went on a cruise, we booked privately. We were the only ones there who had purchased the top package, and we felt we got special attention (as paid for), and included in our package was a whole CD of 100 photos of us with the dolphins. We spoke to the vet and to a marine biologist, and we were given in-depth information about the health and care of these magnificent animals. We purchased a bag full of toys and towels and picture frames from the gift shop where the lovely young ladies were eager to help us. We were very impressed with our entire experience.

We had fun but very short and controlled. Not a "wild" experience. They don't allow you to take photos inside. Here is the start where you get the life jackets.

The good part: The dolphin trainer (Santiago) and his dolphin (Mandela) were both awesome. This will be an unforgettable experience.
The bad part: Everything besides the dolphins is bad.
- High prices
- Huge inefficiencies- there was one person individually spending time putting on life jackets for every person and checking that they fit. There were 50 people there, and it would have gone much faster if everybody just grabbed a life jacket and she checked sizes as we went. There were 3 different lines to wait in inside the store that all took long.
- Buying photos is painful - You have to use a computer program that is essentially unusable. Every single person that came in to buy pictures had to get help from a staff member because the program was glitchy and and had serious usability problems.
- Expensive $$$ - The ticket to come here was expensive, which I can understand. But, if you want to purchase any of your pictures in a printout, it is $35 each. If you want to buy a CD with all of your pictures that is $130. The pricing is hidden from you until afterwards and you realize how expensive it is.
- Can;t take your own photos - I can understand why they don't want participants to take pictures. They do not allow spectators to take photographs, either. Pure greed.response / report this review -

Amazing experience turned into a frustrating disappointment.
My wife and I did this as a cruise excursion and while the actual dolphin encounters were awe-inspiring, everything else was a disaster.
First of all, we had a native spend half an hour trying to get us to guess random dolphin trivia while he stalled for his coworkers to get ready. The water was the worst caribbean water we encountered. We were so excited to buy pictures though. They were amazing pictures showing a once in a lifetime opportunity But they cost $35 each or $130 for all the pictures of yourself. After voicing my frustration, an employee offered me a "special deal" of 6 pictures for $90. I wanted to take these pictures home so badly but I could not justify paying those prices, so we ultimately went home without them. If the prices were reasonable, this place would get 5 stars easily.response / report this review -

Fun experience, but riding the dolphins should be included in every package. The worst part is the price of the pictures. You can't take your own, so you're forced to pay $35 a picture of individuals, not even a family shot option!! There's actually options that approach $500 for pictures!!! That's insane. Make it cost $10 and you'll make more and make more people happy. My three kids told me no to the pix, feeling bad about the price. So our memories exist only in our heads.

Marco is an amazing person and dolphin trainer. It's amazing how much time the instructors put in to train and take care of the dolphins. Great experience scared at first but once you warm up to the dolphins what an amazing experience. You must swim with the dolphins; don't just stand on the side like I was planning.

June 20 2017. We had an amazing experience with the dolphins. Ended up getting the vip treatment as it was just the 2 of us. We played with Winston Dante and Angelina. Our trainer Gigi was knowledgeable and fun. The entire staff was very nice and accommodateing. Totally recommend this awesome experience.

This is the cheapest dolphin encounter program we found and it was worth every penny. The marine biologists there were very helpful and kept everyone engaged the entire time. They also have professional photographers taking pictures the whole time, although be prepared to pay an optional $85 if you want to get all your pictures, as you are not allowed to bring your phone.

Hugely disappointed that after paying over £100 each for this encounter we have no photos as they want another $45 each for photos. Wanted to take own photos but was not allowed. Too too expensive for what you get. Basically you are posing for a series of photos with a dolphin.

This was the best dolphin encounter program I have seen yet, and I have been to them in Hawaii and Florida. The only reason I did not give it 5 starts is the observer (not a participant) is so far from the action, it is really difficult to see or take decent photos (they sell them for outrageous prices).

Our favorite excursion from our recent Caribbean cruise. We did a swim, push and pull experience, and our kids loved it. Very fun and interactive. No personal photography allowed though, so selling you on some photos is a big part of their business.they're not pushy at all though.

Pretty cool. You can't bring your own camera. They'll gladly take photos for you and charge you $35 a print for $100 for all the pictures on a CD.
We did have fun so it was worth it.
4 stars because of the prices and I just can't help but feel sorry for the dolphins.response / report this review -

On our cruise, we took the Dolphin Discovery Push, Pull, and Swim excursion (also known as the Dolphin Swim). Dali our Dolphin and his trainer were wonderful. The Dolphin interaction part was an unforgettable experience definitely worth 5 stars. One of the best excursions we have ever done. The only negative was the photo aspect. We understood why the participants were not allowed to have cameras, but the only reason not to allow spectators to take pictures was greed. We refused to buy any photos the dolphin experience took because they were VERY expensive.
Do the Dolphin Experience, but skip the photos.response / report this review
